Bridger is Getting Promoted! :)

As most of you probably saw on Facebook, Bridger is getting promoted! We are due around June 5th, Bridger is going to be a big brother!! :) We are still trying to comprehend that we will be the parents of two cuties in about five months...pretty crazy! I'm 16 weeks, 17 weeks on Wednesday. We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat a couple weeks ago, it was fast, 156-160 BPM, but don't let that trick you...Bridger's heartbeat was that fast throughout my entire pregnancy with him so we all thought he might be a girl...I guess we'll see this time, ha ha. We waited so long to tell anyone because at my first appointment (10 weeks) we couldn't find the heartbeat, I had to wait four whole weeks to know that my little baby was really in there and okay! I was sort of stressing out (even though I still had all the signs of pregnancy...ha ha). We finally heard it at 14 weeks...Oh, was it glorious. :) I could have listened to it for hours, I was so happy. We are keeping the gender a surprise again, although, we are still doing an ultrasound around 20 weeks. I'm so glad we bought gender neutral nursery and car seat/stroller things with Bridger, I don't have to worry about having to start completely over if we have a girl. :)

We started feeling the baby move about 13-14 weeks, well, I did. Jeremy has really been able to feel those tiny kicks since about 14-15 weeks...tiny little flutters and an occasional really good jab for him, ha ha. :) It's cute. I have been telling Bridger that there is a baby in my tummy but he just gives me a weird look and then doesn't care, he can't really comprehend it yet I don't think...he just knows I'm his still. I'll always be his, but he's going to have to share a little bit, we'll work on that. ;)

With Bridger I had some morning sickness, I was super nauseous and threw up about three or four times until 12 weeks. This time I just had a severe lack of appetite and slight nausea...it's like having the flu and you watch TV and a food commercial comes on...yeah. Get what I'm saying? ha ha. That drifted off around 13 weeks and was pretty much gone by 14 weeks, which I have been grateful for. I was also SO so so so tired! All I wanted to do was sleep and sit on the couch, that has gotten better too, thankfully. :) I'm not showing too much yet, and I'm still wearing all my regular clothes. I don't know about you other ladies, but I have a couple pairs of jeans that after I wash them I've got to like squeeze into them until they get comfortable, ha ha. Those ones are starting to not fit anymore, but that's ok. :)

I've had some random cravings...around nine weeks all I wanted was Icee's for like two days, then it was Chinese (that lasted one day, ha ha). Other random cravings in the last 11 weeks...sour gummy worms, chocolate with toffee chips in it (think Symphony bar), butterfinger blizzards, and...KNEADER'S! I love Kneader's. One thing I can't even THINK about is broccoli soup. barf. Broccoli soup is SO disgusting right now, I doubt I'll ever see it the same again.

Right now our baby is between the size of an avocado and a sweet potato. It's cute. :)

So, there it is, we'll be a family of four in just a few months! :)

Holidays!

Alright, I didn't blog for like four months and that is not normal for me...at all. I don't like it, I just haven't had much time, now I'm making some time so it will quit stressing me out!

In September Jeremy and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary, my mom came up and watched Bridger for us and we went to the temple to do sealings, then went out to dinner. :) Pretty low key, it was fun. The next day I went to a day-long writing conference at UVU that was awesome, my mom babysat Bridge for that too. I actually wrote a book in July or August, I don't remember which month. I should say, most of a book, it's not finished yet, but I'm not sure where to go with it...I wrote over 50,000 words in a month, it was awesome! The only person who has read any of it is Jeremy, my sister Bri read a page and that's all I would share, ha ha. I don't know if anyone else writes but I realized how personal your book can become and it's scary to put it out there for critiquing, I'm not ready! It's a piece of my mind, literally, on pages...the words are my personal thoughts, so I have to prepare myself for a lot of changes and comments. Not only that, I am a perfectionist and I want it to be perfect before I let anyone else read it. As if that will ever happen. ha. It's sort of a historical romance with a twist. That's all I'm saying! :)

Somewhere in August or September we went to the zoo...for FREE! yes. for free...and we can go for free for a YEAR. My little sister won a gift card to buy a year pass and since she doesn't live close enough to use it, gave it to us as long as we'd take her a few times. I think we are going to go in the next month again, when the lights are up. :) We love the zoo!!

Cute boys. :)

Ignore my crazy look, I had to make up for his serious expression.

Halloween was such a blast!! We decided to stay home this year, since it was in the middle of the week and Jeremy had to work. My mom came up and helped me sew Bridger's costume, he was Peter Pan, and it turned out SO cute!

He had a little brown Peter Pan hat with a red feather sticking out of it, BUT, he wouldn't wear it. :p His little knife is made out of felt, the rest of his costume is made out of wool. (that was an accident btw, we meant to buy felt...when we looked at the receipt we paid a whole lot more than we would have for felt! At least he was super warm).

He was so excited!!

Bridger LOVED trick-or-treating, loved it. We went around the neighborhood with the Hoffman's and their two girls Ruby and Olive, which I think helped because Ruby is older and showed him how to do it. :) He would go up to the door and bang his little fist on it and when it opened he held out his little bucket while I said "trick-or-treat!" Then I would say "thank you!" and sometimes he would copy me, we're workin' on that. :) ha ha. It was adorable though. He started getting tired and his little bucket was getting way full, but he did NOT want to be carried, and he did NOT want to let go of his bucket, so I just helped him hold the handle instead while we walked. Jeremy was Captain Hook, and I was tinkerbell. My mom and I shopped forEVER for a long coat for Jeremy, we finally found a perfect one...but the dry cleaning cost more than the actual coat...I kept my costume simple, my mom and I just made a tulle skirt and I wore leggings. :)

It's kinda blurry, but right when we walked in the door after our Halloween party at the Hoffman's, he dumped out his bucket and started going through all of his candy. That's what my sister and I used to do! He doesn't even know that it's all candy, he played with it for like a week, then lost interest. He knew the M&M's were candy, but that's about it. I like it that way. :)

His first time decorating Halloween cookies!!

Bridger's work of art. :) I had to get this picture fast...that cookie was gone within a few minutes!

Thanksgiving was a blast too! We went down to Hurricane two different times for Thanksgiving, once to eat with my family, the next time to eat with Jer's. The first weekend was my family, and it was amazingly delicious...we even ate...turkey. Yes, we sure did. Ha ha. And believe it or not, I drank soda too! I told myself it was a holiday so I could break a few rules. Anyway, we just hung out most of the day and played a few games that night, it was nice to just relax.

The next weekend we came down and ate with Jeremy's family, Rich and Emily were even there, visiting from Virginia! It was fun to see everyone! Then...on Black Friday Jeremy helped out at my mom's store from 10 pm-3 am, it's sort of a tradition now, and I usually go too, but Bridger was sick all week. :p So we stayed home and went to bed! That week was pretty rough for our little guy, he was hardly sleeping at all. He's just so particular about everything. If there were ANY boogers in his nose he would start freaking out, even at 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 in the morning. It didn't matter what time it was. We were all so exhausted, from having him crying all night for like two nights with a 102.5 fever, it was awful...but that finally passed! He still has a runny nose, though, hopefully he can get over the last of this fast so he can be his happy self again. :)

That's about it for catching up! Yay! :) Now I'm just getting ready for Christmas and Bridger's birthday.  I am sewing him a huge car/city mat and getting him some more Hot Wheels for Christmas, and a little red trike. For his birthday we got him one of those little red cars with the yellow roof that they can get in and use their feet to move it, it even has a little trailer, he's gonna love it! I need to plan his party still...I'm thinking a Curious George party, since that's his very favorite show, I already have some ideas. I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed with all the crafts I need to get finished in the next few weeks, but when I get them done, I'll post pictures! :)

Christmas vacation was such a blast! We went down to Hurricane for ten whole days, and, for the most part, relaxed. It was so nice to have Jeremy home everyday, I love him. And it was so nice to be with all our family. :)

Christmas Eve was spent with both our families, we had a really nice dinner and opened presents with Jeremy's family then headed back to my parents house for Christmas stories and singing Christmas hymns with yummy snacks before we all headed off to bed. We had our Christmas/Christmas Eve on the same night with the Jarvis's. Justin gave us some sweet hats, and a hilarious shirt for Jeremy that has a picture of Bridger on the front and it says "I'm WAY good at having kids." I have no idea where he came up with that, but it's cute. :) ha ha. Emily gave us some matching animal hats (Jer has a picture on his phone I will steal later), and Aaron gave Bridger a Curious George book that Bridge is in love with. It was so fun, we even got to Skype Emily and Rich while we opened presents since they couldn't be there with us this year. I just have to say that I love that this family is so silly. :)

Christmas morning we let Bridger be our alarm clock, he woke up around 8 so that's when we started! He actually opened his presents this year, ha ha, and I think he really liked it! He got a whole set of 20 Hot Wheels, a homemade car/city mat I made for him, an oversized car that goes on it's own with noises and stuff from G&G Brown, and a train with a track from G Jarvis. He got Finding Nemo and The Lion King in his stocking along with some mini m&m's that he loved. :) Oh, and when we got home he got to open his car!! He got one of those little tikes cars that you can ride in and you make it go with your feet...if you know what I'm talking about, ha ha. He loves it. :)

Jeremy got Logic Pro (a professional music program), pajama pants, $20 to take me on a date ;), and new SOCKS! Whoo hoo for socks! ha ha. My parents also got him an military ammo box and his dad got him some ammo, he was pretty excited. :)

Jeremy got me a new cookbook that I'm in love with "The Vegetarian Mother's Cookbook." It is so perfect. He also got me a book on Vegan eating that I'm pretty excited about. He also got me $50 to Amazon for BOOKS! I love reading, I've already used most of it... :l

My parents got us an awesome ladder and a much needed step stool for our kitchen. They got me some socks and a food chopper thing I've really been wanting, it's Pampered Chef and chops onions like a pro, it's amazing. And, Jarom got me a super cute watch. :) We got so many other things, and I'm so grateful! We have the best friends and family ever.

We got totally spoiled.

Jeremy's sweet ammo box, and Bridger's sweet bed hair.

Reading Bridger's new Curious George book together...so cute. :) Both in their Christmas PJ's.

 Bridger's first Christmas present!

He loves it! He wanted me to open it right that second. :)

And...his new car mat!! That thing took some blood, sweat, and tears...and a good chunk of time but it was SO worth it, he loves it. :)

 My first Christmas present... :)

 More presents...

 Playing with the cousins. :)

The finished city! :)

22 Months. :)

Long, but much needed update post on my little munchkin...with a bunch of random pictures. :)

His new fireman's hat from Governor's Day. :)

Playing video games with his daddy's phone. He's a pro.

Bridger will be 23 months in only a few days!

Words he can say...where'd it go?, where is it?, I don't know, all done, oh no, thank you, mom, dad, Kaylee, grandma, more, car, ball, no, fish, eiei o, three, go, teeth, nose, ear, toes, eye, hot, uh-oh, let's go!, poo (we've been potty training), cow, night night, wow/whoa, bubble, beep beep, uh-huh, bum, quack quack, coat, door, shoe... There are more words, but I can't think of them at the moment...

My little artists. :)

I found him sitting in his tiny little toy box, when he saw me get the camera he started getting out.

He can point to all the parts of his face, he shows me his fingers, his hair, his tummy, and his toes. It's so cute.

He goes to sleep at between 8 & 8:30 and sleeps until about 7:45-8:30. He also takes one 2.5-3 hour nap everyday. :)

He is daytime potty trained, he has been accident free at home for about two months. I haven't tried letting him wear underwear when we go to the store or go shopping, or when he goes to sleep, yet. I actually planned on doing that when he turned 2, so, in a few weeks we will start that and see how it goes. :) It really only took him about three days to catch on to going pee in the potty, but I introduced the potty at about 15 months and since then he has gone occasionally in it, which I think helps. Plus, since he was born I've let him have naked time, another big factor. He probably could have potty trained sooner, but I had to work up the motivation first. :) Personally, I think most kids are ready way before most people think. I even think Bridger was ready before we really started, people are always surprised that he's doing so good and tell me that boys usually take longer than girls...but that doesn't make sense to me. Bridger has realized he's peeing since he was about 13 months. So, I don't know.

This kid has THE craziest bed hair of anyone I know...even mine! ha ha. This one was classic, so I took a picture. Isn't that awesome??? I love him. He looks zoned out because he is...he was watching Curious George and eating gold fish after naptime. :)

He loves to color in the shower, and occasionally he'll let me read him a book. Mostly he just flips through a big chunk of pages, then closes the book so he can say "all done!" ha ha.

This sucker took him like an hour to eat, it was hilarious.

His favorite snacks are goldfish, slices of cheese, fruit, fruit snacks, and chocolate milk (carnation in almond milk) and Life cereal. For real food...he is SO PICKY! My heavens. This boy keeps me surprised. Pretty much the only sure things he'll eat are pizza and mac & cheese. Healthy, right? not. Besides those, I really don't know if he'll eat what I make for dinner every night, sometimes he surprises us and takes a few bites, other times he shoves it away and I freak out thinking he's going to starve. It's quite stressful. :p I am just grateful he's still nursing, it helps me feel a little better knowing that even if he didn't eat that healthy one day, at least he's still getting nutrients from his breast milk. We are going to nurse until he's two, so, only another month. :) He loves his milk.

His favorite things...he loves going to Grandma and Grandpa's house, he loves Curious George, he loves going outside and playing with his best friend Capri (our next door neighbor who is only a few months younger, they play so well together, it's crazy!), he loves CARS...cars...and more cars! He always has a car in hand, whether it's a puzzle piece, his ride-on car, his dump trucks, or his hot wheels.  He loves going to nursery, and he loves bubbles. :) Oh, and he loves to go to the park and on walks and play basketball with daddy. Oh, and he loves to talk on the phone and play "go, go, go!" with daddy (they push his car & ball popper around together), and play with play dough.

Bridger and Capri playing outside. :)

He's already had two haircuts and I'm thinking another one will be coming soon. :( His cute little baby hair...

He loves to give kisses. :)

Ok, one last thing, I really need to get this recorded but when I say "let's go outside!" Bridger runs and grabs his red ride-on car and pushes it out the door, down our front steps and then runs over to Capri's house. THEN, he hauls his car up their steps and then looks in their front window (it's a long skinny window the length of their front door) and starts yelling for Capri while pressing his face against the glass and looking for her in their house. I can't help but laugh, ha ha, it's so funny, but I feel bad because she can see him in the window and freaks out cause she wants to play so...if they don't want to come outside it makes it hard. It's almost like he can't play outside without her anymore. We joke that they are going to get married, they are just so cute together. Seriously, I have never seen two tiny kids play like this together. They are good for each other. :)

The lighting in our kitchen is awful, but here is Bridge playin' with his play dough.

I can't believe my baby is almost 2! I'm already planning his birthday party, but it feels like I just finished his 1 year party! He is so fun, we love him so much. He keeps us SO busy, but I love it. :)

Jeremy marching at Governor's Day, seeing all the soldiers marching, the flags, and hearing the canon made me cry...it's not everyday you see that many soldiers marching together, it was amazing! I get to see my soldier everyday in his uniform, that's what he goes to work in, but seeing him marching with hundreds of other men just really hit home with me, made me think, you know?

Me and my sexy husband. :)

Love him. :)

Just to throw this in...we found him like this on the couch with a mouthful of candy, a pile beside him, and a full bag in his lap watching Curious George like he thought that was ok...baha. He just made sure to be super quiet. I'm pretty sure he had a few mouthfuls before we found him. Little stinker.

Garbage Day.

Garbage day always gets us. Ok, not always, but today it did.

This morning. 7:25 AM.

I'm sleeping. Jeremy's sleeping.

7:26 AM.

Jeremy sits up all of a sudden. "Is the garbage truck on our street??!!"

Me still half asleep. "Maybe. Don't worry about it." But I could hear it really close outside our window.

Jeremy. "Nooooooo! It's FULL!!!" (he was being slightly OCD, I think). At this point he flew out of bed and charged downstairs, attempting to get the can to the curb before the truck passed our house. Might I add he was wearing some awesome pj's and was barefoot. baha.

I just laid there, wide awake at this point. Laughing my head off in bed as I listened to him basically jump the whole staircase and bang through the back door like it was life or death. I heard the trash can flying down our sidewalk and then it stopped. So I figured he'd made it. But no.

Because guess what. He hid behind the side of the house.

He saw our neighbor outside doing the same thing, the truck had already passed both our houses, but she was crossing the road to put it on the other side and Jeremy didn't want to be seen. He finally just grabbed the can and started pulling it across the wet grass, closer to the curb. And then they both just stood there and stared at the truck, like it was all over, watching him pick up the next neighbors trash.

baha. I'm still laughing out loud over this.

So, the garbage man sees Jeremy (probably looking quite pitiful and distressed over missing trash day) and reverses and ends up getting Amanda's trash too. Then he kept going down the street. So, thank you, Garbage man, for saving the day.

Jeremy is quite serious about his husbandly duties, if you couldn't tell. When he came back upstairs, I couldn't stop laughing at him. He's too awesome.

Can you imagine this in your head? What in the world do our neighbors think now? What would you think if you saw Jeremy come flying out of his house in bright blue, button up, plaid pajamas and bare feet, grabbing the trash can and running through the soggy grass with it like it was the end of the world?

I don't know what I'd think. But I told Jeremy I'd remember this until we were 85 or 100.

I love him forever. :)

(I bet you are all jealous that you aren't our neighbors, huh?) ;) jk.

Temple. Pics. 19 months. :)

Jeremy and I set a goal to up our temple attendance by like...a lot. Our babysitter, Brianna, moved away and so it's been a little harder, but we are making it work. We actually talked to some really good friends of ours who live across the street and we are going to start doing a switch. So they will watch Bridger one week, then we'll watch their two girls the next. I hope it works out! :) Anyway, a few weeks ago we couldn't get a babysitter, so we decided to take Bridger with us up to Temple Square. It was so fun. :) We walked around the mall too, and ended it all with a huge delicious cinnamon roll from Kneaders. My mouth waters just thinking about it. mm. mm. mmm. We got tons of pictures from the temple too...

baha. His cute little face. "I have a secret..."

Check out those eyebrows! Totally Jeremy. 100%.

Can you tell that he just loves me?

Serious...nerds. :)

We went down to Hurricane a couple weeks ago and Jeremy and I went on a double date with my best friend Emily and her husband Ben. I missed that girl. It's crazy though, how you find that one friend, and no matter how long it's been since you talked you still know they are your best friend, and when you get together it seems like you never stopped hanging out. That's how it is with us. If you didn't know, Emily and I actually hated each other when we first met. yep. It's true. She thought I was stuck up and I thought she was a big huge nerd who thought she was so cool wearing her converse in band class. We ended up being on track together with Salyce, who was one of my best friends at the time and who Emily was friends with as well. The three of us started hanging out all the time, after Salyce died is when Emily and I became unbreakable. Emily is the one who made my senior year of high school bearable, actually. And after we graduated we rented an apartment with my (at the time) future sister-in-law, Marisa. We had SO much fun. All the time. When I started getting serious with Jeremy we had our rough moments, but we made it. Now that we are both married it's even more fun to hang out. Anyway, I love her forever. Ha ha. :)

Moving on. I'm am sort of an adrenaline junkie, so if you put me in an amusement park I will go all. day. long. I love it! I'm so glad my husband does too, like I said, we were made for each other. :) We went to Lagoon with my family last Monday, my parents offered to watch Bridger and his cousins while us couples went out and rode some roller coasters together for a while. Just thinking about some of those rides makes me smile, especially screaming my head off next to my husband while we fly through the air. How romantic, isn't it? ;) ha. It is to me. Somehow. We rode most of the rides, and we also did the race track thing where you drive the little cars...you know? Well, I didn't want to drive so I bought a "passenger" ticket and sat with Jeremy...after squishing in with him, I was sure we were going to lose, I realized those "passenger" tickets were probably for like FIVE year olds with the hip space we had. And I thought with the extra weight in our car we would be putting in at last place. But guess WHAT. We did awesome. We were flyin', kicking everyones butts and I was screaming and partying in the car as we passed people, then...this girl cheated and rammed us into the side and we got stuck. and lost. Even after we got unstuck she kept trying to ram us...which was against the rules...as if she didn't see the 25,000 signs that declared "NO BUMPING." Can you tell I'm still a little upset? gosh.

Since most of you will never experience a roller coaster ride with Jeremy and I, here is how it goes.

We stand in line and I freak out, mildly. Adrenaline already pumping as I clutch Jeremy's arm, he's usually just chilling.

We get up to the ride and sit in our seats and I'm taking deep breaths trying to calm myself down.

We pull the shoulder and lap bars over us and the workers come and yank on them to make sure they are locked. But after they leave I sit there and yank on it 25 more times to make sure it's really locked. Then I start pulling on Jeremy's too. Paranoid that it's still loose and we might fall out. Jeremy is just chuckling as I tell him to put his head back against the seat.

The ride starts and pauses, getting ready to go and I'm sitting there, grabbing my seat "oh my gosh. aaaahhhhhh. I can't believe I'm doing this. oh my gosh....etc etc." Jeremy is still chilling.

The ride starts for real and we start flying, I scream my head off for like five seconds on the scariest parts. Here is Jeremy (screaming): "THIS IS SUICIDE PREVENTION!!!!!!!" (on the Rocket, Re-Entry. You'll know what he's talkin about if you've been on that one) or, he's making pretend barfing sounds so people will think they are going to get hit. Or he yells a bunch of other ridiculous stuff, making me laugh so hard I can't scream.

So, there you go. If you ever want to come to Lagoon with us, feel free. I'm sure we'll entertain you. :)

We went on the river rapids with my mom, Jarom and Marisa and Jen and Cade all in one big tube floating down the river. None of us really wanted to get wet so when water started splashing up and our tube started going a little crazy, my mom freaked out and stood up, screaming! Bahaha. I was laughing SO hard. Marisa started standing up too, and I was sure they were both going to tumble out. It was hilarious. All that along with Cade's faces...I just about peed my pants.

Jeremy and I also went on the ferris wheel and made out. (JK!) Then we went back on the rocket to finish the night off.

Bridger really loved the water park that we spent a couple hours at before we went on rides, he mostly chilled with grandma and grandpa, napped, and ate some yummy food.

What a fun day. :) ha ha.

I only got a few pictures. :P It was too crazy!

My independent little adventure boy.

My hott sexy husband.

My mom and Bri stayed up here with us for the rest of the week and it was so nice! We went out to lunch and school shopping for our nieces and nephews, which was a blast, and made some delicious dinners. I was sad they had to go home. :(

One last thing...I bought Bridger a littly potty when he was about 15 months old and he peed in it a few times the first couple days we had it...randomly I would have him use it. Now that he's 19 months I've been having him use it more, he's doing really good (he'd do better if I were more motivated ha ha) he pees in it about once a day...sometimes four times a day! I've been teaching him how to pull his pants up and down and he has even held his pee long enough to get to the toilet. I'm so proud of him. This has all been really gradual, I think he'll start using it more when he feels more ready, but right now he doesn't mind it a few times a day, so I encourage him. I'm hoping he'll be potty trained before two. We'll see. :)

I could kiss his cute face every second of my life. That's one version of his kissing lips... :) btw. This is now one of my favorite pictures of him.

The potty seat was clean. Don't worry. ha ha. :)

Almost everyone we meet, or sit in front of in church, or see in the grocery store...tells me how cute he is and what a character he is...and it's SO true! This boy has so much personality, he's so silly. I love it. :)

I think that sums up the last month. ha ha. :)

I love my husband.

Here are a few other random pics...

He's eating a french toast muffin. He loves them, can you tell by the way he's trying to shove the whole thing in his mouth??

mm. That must have been a good bite.

Our son has some of THE best bed hair of all time. Who has more awesome bed hair than that?? I love it.

My boys drawing. :)

:) I love them.
