Valentine's Day. :)

First of all, Valentine's Day. :) We didn't do anything too crazy. I woke up early and make yummy berry crepes for my boys, then we went on a little scavenger hunt where I took them bowling (Jeremy's favorite thing ever, basically), and we went to lunch at Chik-fil-A (for Bridger, he loves it). The kids loved the bowling, I let Beckham have pretty much all of my turns because he loved it so much. We went home and put the kids down for a nap, then Jeremy had set up a yummy meal with our friend, Francois. Francois is like a chef, I'm not kidding, Jeremy bought the food and Francois smoked the ribs and made some side dishes from his native country. It was THE BEST MEAL EVER. aaahhh. My mouth is still watering. It was awesome!

Jeremy got me a straightener I have been wanting, the boys got their books and chocolates from Grandma and Grandpa Brown and called them to say thank you. :) They also gave Jeremy and I each a pair of awesome Cariloha socks, which we love. Cariloha is amazing. It was a fun day!!

One random little thing...

We were walking out of Ace and this whole group of firefighters walked in. They saw my boys and said hi, then one of them pulled out stickers, my boys were SO happy! They were like in awe. As we were leaving we saw the huge fire truck parked in the parking lot and Bridger told me "I never want to leave it." Ha ha. He thought it was so awesome. Beckham said, "whoa!!" when he got his sticker, it was pretty funny.

Beckham's First Haircut! :)

Oh, his sweet perfect curls. I had the hardest time cutting them off. :( Jeremy and I LOVED to play with his hair, run our fingers through his soft baby curls. It hurt a little to clip them. Beckham got his first haircut about three weeks ago, here are some pictures. :)

Bed hair. :)

Day hair. :)
Right after a bath, and right before his haircut! I made no bakes so he would sit still for a minute.

Oh goodness, those curls. I miss them.

Big bite of cookie in his mouth...

New haircut!! Whoo!! He looked older as soon as his hair was cut.

I think it turned out super cute, even though he was SO wiggly!

His sweet curls, I put them in an envelope to put in his baby book. :)

 Big boy hair!! :D

A little update on my sweetie buns. He is so fun, he is hilarious, and oh so cute. He has THE tastiest cheeks of all time, they are perfect and rosy and he has dimples. mmm. I can't get enough of him. His last four teeth broke through at the same time, about a month ago, I can't wait until he is done teething, he has had the hardest time with all of his teeth!! Almost there...

Let me explain this picture...Beckham came downstairs one morning with a mouthful of something, Jeremy quickly swiped his mouth and pulled out almond kisses that Beckham had so quietly found beside our bed. I went upstairs and found this little scene, ha ha. I just laughed to myself at his sweet innocence. He dropped his cars and binky, and left wrappers behind, all the evidence was there. Honestly, I was just glad he took the wrappers off first.

This is us at Olive Garden on a lunch date with the family this last Saturday. :) He was being so cuddly with me, I think his teeth were bugging him, but I soaked it up!

He sleeps 12 hours at night, usually wakes up around 7:30 or 8 and goes to bed at 7:30 or 8. He loves to read stories with daddy and Bridger and he loves to brush teeth. This boy LOVES his blankets and his binky (which he calls his beetie), and he even tells me he wants to go night night sometimes. I ask him if he's ready for bed and he nods his head huge and says "yes, yes." He still nurses before nap and bedtime. :) He calls it his "moke." I love it. It used to be "mote," it only turned to "moke" in the past few weeks. When he gets tired he pulls down my shirt or puts his little hand in there and says "moke, moke." I have to be careful out in public, ha ha. It's funny.

He is talking SO good. He is starting sentences, like "water all gone," or, "I see you." Things like that, not super long yet, but I think he is doing great! He says pretty much all words. One he has started using a lot is "mess." He points to any mess and says "mess." He doesn't like to be messy very much.

He says his prayers and it's adorable! He folds his little arms and says "Hevy Faver ... ... AMEN!" and throws his arms out with a huge grin. :) Bridger thinks it's really funny, so he tells him to say prayers over and over and they just laugh.

He eats all by himself, everything. It's really nice to not have to feed him, ha ha. He does make quite the mess of his clothes, but I figure he's gotta learn somehow, right? He has been feeding himself for months now, he is super good at it, even cereal! He does awesome.

He loves blueberries SO much. He eats, literally, cups of them at a time. He also loves apples, oranges, and bananas. The boys both love to drink protein shakes with me in the mornings. Pizza is a favorite, of course. He also likes my homemade bread with anything (peanut butter and honey, pizza, grilled cheese, or toast). He doesn't like vegetables too much, he eats carrots sometimes, and even some squash once.

He copies whatever Bridger does lately! He says his name so good now, too. He opens Bridger's door to get him up in the morning, and when he sees him after his nap he says "Brisher!" He loves him. They have their fights, for sure, but overall these two boys of mine have so much fun together. I love seeing them play more as Beckham has gotten older, it makes me so happy. They both think the other is so funny. In the car they will play peek-a-boo with each other and start laughing SO hard, and sometimes during meals they will just start making silly faces at each other and start laughing hysterically, it is so funny. I can see that brother bond getting stronger, I hope it always does. :)

He loves to play outside and push cars and trucks everywhere, he LOVES cars! He loves to look at books and lately he really likes Curious George. :) He has also started throwing these little tantrums where he squawks for like three minutes and I ignore him and try not to laugh, then he forgets about it and runs off to play. Sometimes he pretends to go to sleep and snores on the floor, then sits up really fast and thinks it's so funny.

I love this little one, he is my little pumpkin. :)

Long Beach & San Diego. :)

These two pictures are of the kids playing with Grandma Brown.

We headed down to Long Beach on Monday, January 5th. The drive wasn't bad and the kids did AWESOME. We only had to stop once so we could talk to Brianna when she was at the airport, which was really fun. :) We got there in the evening, and the roads are horrible in California, it made me appreciate Utah, ha ha. Anyway, we bought all the groceries for like a week and headed back to the hotel we were staying at. This was the first time we had stayed in a hotel that was all one room, the kitchen area was just open to the living and sleeping area, so it was pretty big, just no separation. We usually we have at least one separate bedroom for the boys to sleep in so we don't keep them up in the evenings, so I was a little nervous about naps and how this was going to work. The first few days were rough with naptime, but I eventually figured out a way to keep Bridger quiet so Beckham could sleep (by having him play his Leap Pad in the hallway by the bathroom, ha ha). Jeremy would get home around 5:30 everyday, but by then it was already getting dark, so I had to either stay in the room with the boys all day or brave up and find something fun for us to do. I was terrified because people drive crazy down there and the roads are awful. The third day all three of us were ornery, I told myself I was going to find a park for these boys to play at...or else. The front desk lady had told me about a library with a playground by it, so I loaded up the boys and we headed out to find it...I pulled into a parking lot and had to pay to get in, so I was kinda just wingin' it and decided that whatever we just paid for we were going to do and hopefully it was fun and kid friendly. We found a parking spot and I noticed that everyone was in hiking clothes (we were not) and had these like, hiking strollers (which, I also did not have). I got our little stroller and we followed people into this nature park that had miles and miles of trails, ponds, bridges, and sitting areas, it was awesome! The weather was SO beautiful and the boys loved all the animals they saw, especially the ducks. We walked for a really long time, so long that Bridger could barely make it back, ha ha.

As we were walking, Bridger kept complaining that he wanted to go to a park.

Me: We are at a park. It's fun, huh?
Bridger: But I want to go to a park that's put together (as he scowls... and has fun).

HA. His logic, I love it. :) He wanted a playground is what he meant, he is so cute.

Watching the turtle at the nature park we found.

The aquarium was huge and so fun! The boys didn't want to touch anything, but they loved seeing all of it. :) Afterward we took a walk in the rain and ate at a yummy restaurant.

Bridger LOVED the aquarium!

Neither one of them would touch any of the animals.

We took a walk in the rain along here, it was beautiful!

Watching cartoons with daddy before work. :)

Beckham was afraid of the sand at the beach at first, he refused to walk on it until the second time we went, then he loved it as much as Bridger did! There were some pretty freaky brave seagulls there, Jeremy and Bridger were running through this huge flock of seagulls that landed on this beach, making them fly everywhere. While they did that, Beckham and I tried to protect our beach bag from getting torn apart by those darn birds. They are so freaky. Jeremy eventually had to come chase them off for me! ew. birds. :p I hate birds. Oh, and these pictures aren't so great because I forgot my camera. :( But, they'll do. We got to go to the beach twice, once at night and once in the early evening, the weather was absolutely beautiful!

Little buddies. They make me smile.

It was SO beautiful! We took a walk on that pier behind us later that night and it was all lit up and beautiful. Beckham was determined to push the stroller himself the whole way so it took us forever, we ended up having to strap him in and get out of there since it was so late!

There was a playground on the beach that the boys loved playing on, this was on our walk there. :) ps, I did not make them or tell them to do that. I had to take a picture because it was adorable.

So, after Jeremy finished work in Long Beach my parents came down to meet us in San Diego for the weekend, it was also my mom's birthday. :) We stayed in one of my parents condo's, which was nice. The first day we checked out this really cool shopping area with a train museum, gardens, and tons of restaurants. I was a little worried that our boys would get totally bored at the train museum, but they actually really REALLY loved it! There were hundreds of tiny model train exhibits, it was huge! While we were there Bridger got really tired of walking and wanted to be carried, so Jeremy put him on his shoulders, he was up there for awhile, we watched a lady making a glass vase (which was really interesting and kind of scary) then headed to the car. Jeremy put Bridger down and he started crying and sat on the ground, I thought maybe he had a leg cramp or something. Jeremy picked him back up and while we are walking he says "there is sand in my shoes!!" I was like, "whaaattt?? There is no sand here..." Then my mom caught on and figured out that he meant that his toes were tingly from being asleep. I couldn't stop laughing, it was really cute.

Saturday we went to Sea World, and of course we all loved it. We spent the entire day there, and we saw pretty much everything, everyone was worn out by the end. :) The shows were amazing, Beckham started to get a little bored with some of it, so we bought popcorn, then both of them were just fine, ha ha.

Going on some rides! :D

The boys LOVED these rides!

Those are real flamingos, they almost look fake in this picture...
