A few months ago Bridger told us that when we have another baby we will need another Wii remote...so here it is! Baby #4 due February 2018!
(I don't think Benson is quite ready to no longer be the "baby" ;))
I'm 16.5 weeks today, and feeling much better than I did in the first trimester. We made an appointment with our midwife for 11 weeks, but we couldn't hear the heartbeat (this also happened when I was pregnant with Beckham), so I went back at 13 weeks and we finally heard it. :) The heartbeat was between 157-163 BPM and I had gained about two pounds. My next appointment is this Wednesday. :) The boys are super happy that we are having another baby, Bridger keeps looking at my belly and saying "you have a baby in your belly." lol. Bridger really wants a sister, he thought Benson was going to be a girl, too, because he wants a sister, lol. We kept our other babies a surprise until they were born, I'm not sure if we will find out or keep this one a surprise too. I think it might be a boy...but I hesitate to even try to guess because I've been wrong every time! lol. We are happy whether it is a boy or a girl, even if we do already have three boys. :)
I started feeling our baby kick around 15 weeks, and Jeremy felt a few tiny kicks this week, at 16 weeks. :)
I've been tired still, but that might be because I pee so many times every night! I also have not slept good in general since I got pregnant, my mind is busy and sometimes I'll wake up and have a hard time going back to sleep. I have had food aversions since the beginning: chicken, ground beef, protein smoothies, vegetables, popcorn...like...everything except unhealthy foods. :( ...although anything fried or greasy is also on the gross list. LOL. My self-control is like non-existent when I'm pregnant so it's a struggle to eat good. I'm feeling a lot less nauseous, and that helps. I've been craving cranberry juice with crushed ice on top lately, and in the last four months I've craved everything from candy and doughnuts, chocolate chip cookies, and ham & cheese scalloped potatoes. Totally random.
Another big thing: SMELLS. Oh my goodness gracious. My sense of smell is already strong when I'm not pregnant, but when I get pregnant it upgrades to super power. Seriously. The main things that I can't stand: people's breath when they sit/stand/sing next to me, linoleum, triscuits, cottage cheese, yogurt, peanut butter, bananas...and there are a few others. Basically, smell in general made me nauseous in the first trimester, it's a little better now, lol. I had to get rid of all the Triscuits in the pantry, and Jeremy had to sit on the other end of the couch when he ate his cottage cheese or other snacks at night because I could smell them. He can now sit next to me while eating them, it doesn't make me nauseous, but I still don't like the smell. It's weird.
I've also been working out most mornings still (whenever my schedule allows), I've been using Jillian Michaels 90-day program for the last year, this is my fifth time through it. I will keep doing that until I feel like I need or want something different.
I started showing a little bit a few weeks ago, not enough for people to notice, but it's more of that awkward showing stage where I just look like I ate too much, lol. Most of my clothes still fit, but in the last week I feel like I started to show a little more and I did start wearing one pair of my maternity jeans because they are more comfortable even though they are still a little big. I told Jeremy we better announce it soon or people were going to start noticing and wondering if we had news to share or I was just gaining weight, lol.
There's our news and a big update! We are very grateful!! :)
