Christmas. :)

Christmas was such a blast! We spent a LOT of time down in Hurricane, a few weeks, actually. The boys loved it. :) We did family pictures, went shooting, went to the temple visitor's center, played some Christmas Eve Bingo, spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with both our families, and skyped with Grandpa Jarvis on Christmas Day. Time well spent, I'd say. :) Bridger loves playing with his cousins from both sides of the family and he's always sad to have to go home. We are too. :( It's bittersweet living 300 miles away, but what can you do? Here are some pictures...

Uncle Jarom's Birthday! :) Jarom and Marisa stayed through Christmas on Jarom's break in military training, now they live forever away in Alambama. :( At least we got to spend the whole week with them!

Christmas Eve Bingo!

This is the first year Bridger has really gotten into the bingo, he loved it. :)

New Batman PJ's. :)

j
Santa. :)

Ice cream maker! Whoo! :)

At the Children's Museum in St. George, he loved it!!

We ended up staying down there until the Sunday after New Years, Jeremy went back to work Monday and Tuesday, then drove back down New Years Eve. We played games all night and had a blast counting down and had some sparkling cider. :)

2013 was a great year. It's crazy to think about all the experiences we had. It was such a crazy year. I sort of hope 2014 is just a little less crazy. We had a major house flood the end of February, so we didn't live in our house for a whole month...the insurance paid a bill of $40,800! Thank goodness.

We sold our 2009 RAV4 in April and bought a 2011 Highlander and had it shipped to us from Florida since I was due in a few weeks. Then Beckham was born the end of May...ten days later Jeremy left for AT...then during AT he found out he was starting a military school the day after he finished AT. That school lasted 3 months and was crazier than I like to remember 12 hour days/7 days a week while I had 2.5 year old and newborn at home. Regular school overlapped with his military school for a few weeks, then he finished the military school and was able to focus on regular school and work until two weeks later he left for another military training in Puerto Rico for two more weeks. He got home from that in the beginning of October. Then I helped my parents find a car at the end of December...if you know us, you know it's a super intense process, lol. Weeks of searching to find the right deal and they come from all over the country. We usually get vehicles for $4-7,000 below kbb price. Which is awesome and totally worth the extra effort. Anyway...

Our awesome RAV4. I was sad to see it go. :( It was a really good vehicle. (It came from Texas)

Highlander. :) (It came from Florida)

Can you see what I mean? whew. We are already starting a busy year...Jeremy is taking 15 credits this semester with 90 hours of volunteer internships, full-time work and drill one weekend a month. When we tell people we are busy I don't think they understand how busy...lol. But Jeremy should graduate with his BS in Psychology in August and will be able to apply to grad programs in December. He is such an amazing husband and father, he works SO hard for us and we love him for it. I am so grateful for him. :)

Happy New Year!! :)

7 & 8 Months. :)

Ok, so I missed Beckham's 7 month post. I feel terrible, but...better late than never, right? :) His sleeping schedule has been about the same for the past two months, he goes to bed around 7:30 or 8 and wakes up at about 7 or 7:30 in the morning. He eats quite a bit in the night and hasn't been sleeping very well, I'm not sure if it's his teeth or developmental things causing it or what...but I'm so tired! We tried moving him to his own crib last month, but I was even more tired. So he's back in bed with us. :) I can't say I'm too sad about it, since I love it. So far he hasn't been too picky about his baby food, he only eats baby food once a day, at dinner time. I have switched to only oatmeal because there is more protein, and I usually combine that with a fruit or vegetable, I switch off every other day between the two. So far, the only thing he hasn't like are peaches (which was hilarious), he has tried carrots, prunes, apples, pears, green beans, and bananas. Other than that, he nurses about every four hours now throughout the day. He also started grabbing my face and giving me HUGE baby kisses, all the time. I love it.

He started crawling about a week after he turned 7 months old, officially. He had been rocking and scooting and bouncing along for a couple weeks before that, but he really crawled for a good distance at about 7 months 1 week. He still does this mogley walk thing where his butt is clear up in the air and he walks on his hands and feet, it's so funny. I hope he keeps doing that because it makes me laugh. :) He also had his second tooth cut through that same week! No wonder he wasn't sleeping, right?

Oh my.

At 8 months...he is wearing clothes sizes anywhere from 9-18 months, most are 12-18 months and he's only 8 months old! My heavens. He started clapping around 5.5 months, but now he only claps when he's mad. It's pretty funny. :) He still says da-da-da-da-da all the time. It's his favorite sound, Jeremy is pretty happy about that. This last month he has gotten super clingy to me, and if I'm not around, to Jeremy. If I leave his sight for even one second, he starts crying like I've left him for hours! Little stinker. If he even sees me start to head away from him, he starts crying sometimes.

He loves taratabong on Netflix, he smiles whenever we turn it on. Actually, he wakes up so early that I usually prop my phone up in bed on Jeremy and make him watch it so I can sleep longer, it works pretty well. :)

One of my favorites. :) Take a good look at that sweet face so you can keep it in mind for this awesome story...

Two mornings ago, Beckham woke up, and he always has a good poop at 7 AM. Always. So I expected it, I even heard it but I kept sleeping telling myself I would change it in a few minutes, after I woke up a little bit. Well, a few minutes later I heard him poop some more and I heard Jeremy laugh at the sound...aannnddd I could smell it so I figured it was time. I sat up and there was poop everywhere! EVERYWHERE. It was like a nightmare with that background music *dun dun* *dun dun* His diaper had totally leaked and gotten all over our comforter, pillows, sheets and -best of all- all over Jeremy! HA! I busted up laughing because there was poop all over his shirt and it was just such a mess. In the mornings we are just so tired because we go to bed too late and don't sleep that great so we just give Beckham things to play with and he crawls around our bed and plants his little butt everywhere as he moves around, so it just spread it everywhere. It was crazy! Oh. And then we found out that dry cleaner's don't dry clean on Saturdays?? Um, who came up with that lame idea?? So, we put the poop side of our comforter at the other end of our bed.

I'm thinking we'll move him up a diaper size...look at that face again. Yeah. He's so cute, he can poop in our bed and still get to sleep with us. He's got us wrapped around those cute chubby fingers. I love it.

Playin' with Grandma Brown and his cousin Brigham who is only two months younger. :)

He has started pulling himself up to standing with coffee table, chairs, toys and couches. He's pretty good at balancing already, and he is crawling so good! Sometimes if he's trying to go really fast, like to get a Hot Wheels car that Bridger forgot about, he will get a little mixed up and start bouncing/crawling/mogely walking to get there as fast as he can before Bridger catches him going for it.

He is the happiest little baby, he makes me smile everyday with his huge grins and his huge blue eyes. He is adorable. Delicious in all the best ways. I seriously cannot get enough of him. His personality just melts my heart, he is so sweet. :)

I'll get his 8 month picture on here tomorrow. Hopefully. I always say that and something comes up...

Bridger is 3!! :)

My baby turned 3 on January 4th. I'm not going to lie...I cried for three days before his birthday. Every night, just wondering how time could go so fast. It makes me sad to see him getting so big, having to cut a few more of those apron strings, having to let him be a little more independent, having to let him grow up. It hurts my heart. And I'm pretty much crying on the couch while I write this post.

BUT.

At the same time, I am so happy. :') I love to see him learn new things, to see that look of accomplishment on his face when he does something new, just the right way. I love to listen to him play and talk, to hear his thoughts and listen to his 3-year-old logic. I love the way he has picked up on certain facial expressions that he uses when he is thinking really hard about something.

For awhile now he...we'll get him tucked into bed at night and we'll give him a kiss and go to close his door and he says "cuddle me...?" as we are leaving, just so he can stay up a few minutes longer. Aannnddd...so I do. Because who, really, could ever say no to that? So Jeremy or I (whoever is tucking him in) will get back on his bed and wrap him in our arms and cuddle with him, we talk to him about different things and sometimes Jeremy will cuddle with him for so long that I go in to find them both asleep. But when I cuddle him, I trace his face and play with his hair and tell him how much I love him. It goes like this, everytime...

Me: "I love you Bridger."
Bridger: "You love me?"
Me: "Yep, I love you."
Bridger: "Oh, I love you, too."

Then he asks for two butterfly kisses (he thinks they are so funny) and I usually leave after that. Like I mentioned, most of the time I'll trace his face and play with his hair, then he'll start playing with my hair...but I've been using this spray wax, and two nights ago Bridger was playing with my hair and he said "your hair is greasy." And I was like "What?? My hair isn't greasy! That's spray wax." He didn't care. He just told me it was greasy again. I just laughed, at least he's honest, right?

He is so stinkin' cute.

At his three year doctor appointment, he did SO good. He just gave his "scowl" to the doctor the whole time, but he didn't fight him or say anything, it was hard not to laugh. He weighed 31.6 lbs and was 37.5 inches tall. He had a dum dum sucker in his front shirt pocket and as soon as he was done he had me open it, I am proud of him. :)

We had his birthday down in Hurricane, a small little party on his actual birthday, then a bigger party about a week later with both sides of the family. I'm pretty sure he thought he had like three birthdays because he kept telling me "It's my birthday time!!" Every morning. It was cute. :) He loved all his presents, he had a hard time staying on track opening them, though. He was so excited about every present, he just couldn't wait to play with it.  He got some pretty cool things, a HUGE helicopter and some Floam from Grandma and Grandpa Brown, Lincoln Logs from Grandma Jarvis, Cars walkie talkies from the Campbells, some Hot Wheels cars from Jason & Brittany, and he got a red Cars backpack, two puzzles, a play doctor kit and a car/train table from us (which he hasn't gotten yet because we haven't put it together. :l awesome, right?)

Anyway, here are some pictures from the party and his birthday. :)

He chose this doughnut out on his birthday. :) Then almost caught his jacket on fire trying to blow out the candles, but I love how happy he looks. :)

The balloons didn't turn out how I wanted, we kind of just stuck them everywhere after we ran out of time, ha ha! Oh well, I'm pretty sure Bridger didn't care. :)

The SWEET cake my mom and I made! :) It was home-made velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. mmm.

I love this boy forever. I can't believe he's three!! :)
