Governor's Day!!

We always love going to Governor's Day, and this year was especially fun because Grandma & Grandpa Brown and Aunt Brianna joined us! We watched the troops march, then we walked around the booths and the car show, did the bounce house and won lots of prizes for the boys, then headed home. Here are a few pics. :)

7 Months!! :)

Lil' Tasty is 7 months!!

My goodness this boy is adorable.

He loves apples.

He sits up like a professional now, and he loves it! I can tell he's getting antsy to crawl, he has been moving from sitting to his belly, so he's definitely getting ready. He can hold the crawl position and rocks for practice, too. :)

He loves to play with his binky. It just might be his favorite toy.

• He weighs 19.3 lbs, and is wearing 9-12 month clothes. 
• He will take a few bites of baby food at a time, but isn't super interested yet, he will turn his face away and clench his little gums together so he doesn't have to take any more bites. So far he's had prunes and pears. 
• He LOVES to splash in the bathtub!
• He also LOVES to sleep all sprawled out. I'll nurse him on our bed, and when he's done he'll turn over and sleep half on his belly with his little thigh thrown over the other and his neck and head arched up. 

• He has been teething, but has not cut his first tooth yet, I can feel those two middle ones on the bottom!
• He has been blowing raspberries a lot now! He also started making this growly sound all the time, and he has been practicing this REALLY noisy clucking sound, LOL. He is so funny. 
• He does not like to ride in the stroller, I think it's because it makes him sleepy, so usually I have to carry him in the Ergo now. 
• He loves to feel his Daddy's face in the morning, I think because it's so scratchy, lol. He loves his Daddy so much. Jeremy will go in our bedroom to do homework where it's quiet and I will come in to nurse, Anderson will roll over and tilt his little face up and just start cooing and jabbering away at him until he has to look at him and be distracted. It's adorable. 
• He scratches everything to feel it, his little fingers are so tiny and chubby, I love to watch him learn and play. 

• He still takes 2-3 naps everyday, one in the morning around 10, and another in the afternoon around 1. One is usually longer than the other, it switches. He will occasionally take a really short nap around dinner time, then he goes to bed around 7 and wakes up around 7 (if he slept good). He has not slept through the night, I think our longest stretch so far has been six hours, and he's been really restless lately, I've tried putting him his bed next to ours, and now in his crib, thinking that Jeremy and I were making it hard for him to stay asleep. I don't think that was why, I think it's probably a combination of growth spurts, developmental and teething. He goes to bed in his crib and comes to bed with us when he wakes up after I've gone to bed. 
• He is such a happy boy, he is usually completely content to sit and play with his toys on the floor for a LONG time, or in the high chair while I make dinner. He is quite patient, and so sweet. I am so grateful for him. 
• His brothers think he is SO funny. They love to play with him and make him smile, I love it. :)

Oh, my heart.

6 Months! :)

This little snuggle nugget is 6 months!! He is absolutely adorable and so sweet. I just want to cuddle him all day. Whenever he smiles at someone he buries his face in my shoulder, it's cute. He loves his rattle toys, I think because they are so noisy, they keep him busy the longest. His eyes might be turning hazel! Everyone has thought he would have blue eyes, but in the last few weeks I feel like I've seen hints of brown, so we'll see! I love his smile, and his twinkling eyes, he is such a sweet, happy baby and we love him forever.

• He says "mama" SO good!!
• He weighed 18.3 lbs at his 6 month appointment!
• He started baby food a few days after he turned six months, we started with prunes because he gets constipated for some reason. We mix them with some oatmeal baby cereal and he seems to like them okay, when he first started he made the funniest faces and would shiver like it was disgusting. lol. I made him some chamomile tea when he had a cold and he LOVED it. 
• I've been putting him in his own bed for part of the night, he seems to sleep better, but he still nurses and comes to bed with me for most of the night. He gets tired between 7-7:30 PM and has gone as long as six hours the first half of the night, then every 2-3 after that. He wakes up around 7 AM, then takes a morning nap around 9, another around 12 and sometimes a short nap before dinner around 5. 
• He is sitting up really good now! He can sit and play with toys, he still falls over if he gets distracted after a few minutes, but he's doing awesome. He also started balancing in the crawl position on his hands and knees, he rocks a little bit to practice, it's adorable. 
• He loves peek-a-boo, and he LOVES music. If he is fighting sleep I will turn on classical music and he almost immediately gets calm and sleepy. 
• He has gotten quite distracted while nursing lately, I have to turn all the lights off and have music on so he will focus and eat, otherwise he sucks a few times and then rolls on to his back, sucks a few more times, rolls onto his belly and looks around, etc. LOL. It's almost impossible to nurse him when we are out and about because every single sound and light is something he wants to see and we both end up covered in milk, lol. 
• He loves to take a bath and splash in the water, and he also loves showers. 
• He loves when his brothers play with them, they are so silly and he thinks they are so funny!
• I love his deep baby giggle. And his tasty, chubby thighs. And his arm rolls. And his soft, fuzzy baby hair. And all of him. He's a little magnet. 
• His nicknames are Snuggle Nugget, Chunk, Lil' Tasty, and Little One. 
• He wears 12 months size clothes now.
