11 Months!! :)

This sweet baby boy of ours is 11 months and I can hardly believe it!

He is so absolutely, positively, 100% delicious. In every way. And look at that eyebrow. And those rolls. And that tiny grin. And all of him.

His personality is so adorable. He gets busy and is very curious, but every once in awhile he comes back to wherever I am and wants some love and attention, and then he's off discovering again. I love it. He is pretty content most of the time, but he is starting to voice his opinion more, lol. If one of his brothers takes a toy, or I take something away, he will make this little squawk or cry. At dinner time I put him in his high chair so I can keep track of him while I cook, he will just sit in there and watch everything I'm doing, it's cute. I'll give him measuring spoons or other things to play with, but he will sit in his high chair and watch for quite a while!

  • He nurses three times a day and 2-3 times at night. He goes to bed at 7 PM and wakes up around 6:30 AM. He still takes a morning nap between 9:30-10 AM (usually about 1-2 hrs) and his second nap between 1-2 PM (usually an hour or less).
  • He loves his binky and his blanket. We also got him a really soft stuffed llama and he will sometimes cuddle it in bed, or play with it when he wakes up, but he's not super attached to it yet.
  • Sometimes he will wake Bridger up in the mornings and Bridger will talk to him and they have cute little conversations until we come get him, lol.
  • He can say mama, dada (his favorite word), duck "duh," when I say shhh he will copy me and say it back, and he can also wave bye-bye.
  • He has started balancing SO well!! He will take his hands off whatever he's holding on to to practice for a few seconds at a time, then smiles so big.
  • He can crawl super fast!
  • He loves touch and feel books.
  • He will not eat any fruit! I've offered him fresh blueberries, peeled grapes, pears, peaches, and strawberries and he spits them right out and shivers. I can't believe it. He loves sourdough bread with butter and/or jelly, greek yogurt, cheerios, peanut butter & jelly, pancakes and waffles, most pasta dishes, Annies mac & cheese, lentils, really soft gala apples, grilled cheese and tomato soup, pita pizzas, and cooked carrots.
  • He shakes his head "no no" still and smiles like he thinks it's so funny. He also thinks it's really funny when I tell him no, and he will stand there and grin at me until I get up and move him somewhere else, lol.
  • He LOVES bath time. He now loves to stand up in the tub and cruise around the sides, knocking down every shampoo bottle that he can, lol.
  • He loves to pass a ball back and forth with me, we have a little ball that has a light inside that blinks when it bounces and he loves to play with it.
  • We have a gate across the stairs and he is constantly trying to pull the gate away so he can go down the stairs. He can go up the stairs really good, but is still figuring out how to go down, so I have to watch him pretty close.
  • He LOVES to dance!! Anytime there's music on, or someone in our family is beatboxing, he will start bouncing and stepping from side to side, it is adorable.
  • I love his expressions, he uses his eyebrows so much, and will sometimes squint his eyes because he smiles so big. I love it.
  • He is getting quite the mullet! Now that his hair has grown out he has some loose curls that are absolutely adorable.
  • He has been rolling his tongue to one side and gumming it, it's funny.
  • He has also found the toilet paper!! If I don't make sure the bathroom door is closed I find him in there having a party unrolling the roll, lol.
  • He is wearing 9-12 and 12-18 month clothes, and he weighs around 20-21 lbs.

Oh, baby sleep. Yum.

Bridger's Birthday...and Baptism!! :)

MY FIRST BABY, my first baby boy, is EIGHT. I was extremely emotional during his party, I just couldn't believe it. And he looked older!! Bridger is so fun talk to and be around, his laugh is contagious and he has the funniest sense of humor. He is also very serious, analytical and thinks very, very deeply about everything. Literally. He asks me some of the most difficult questions, everyday. I told him to start keeping a journal of questions so he can start looking up the questions himself because I am constantly saying "I don't know." lol. Like, what makes a power plant meltdown?

We celebrated his birthday on the 3rd, because we had his baptism the afternoon of the 4th and Jeremy had to leave soon after to head home for drill. He wanted pizza for his birthday dinner, and he asked for chocolate cake with mint frosting! He had a Ninjago set on his cake and also got a Ninjago set he's been wanting for months. His baptism and confirmation was so nice. We were able to do his baptism in Grandma and Grandpa Brown's stake so most of our family could join us. Uncle Jarom was deployed, but he would've been there if he could!

His confirmation was given by Dad (Jeremy):
"Bridger Wilson Jarvis, by the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood which we hold we lay our hands upon your head and confirm you a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and say unto you, receive the Holy Ghost. With this, we give you a blessing that you may be receptive to the Holy Ghost throughout your life, and that you may be guided to make right decisions through this wonderful gift and understand how precious it is. Bless you that you can learn to use the power of the Holy Ghost and the power of the priesthood you will receive to perform miracles and to be a leader in the Gospel to convert others and to change lives. We bless you that you may recognize that power that you have and the authority you've been blessed with and that you may continually be guided by the Spirit, that you may understand that it is through righteous living that we can have these blessings, and that the greatest joys in life come through living the commandments. We bless you with these things at this time, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Those who joined in the circle: Dad, Grandpa Brown, Grandpa Steve, Uncle Cade, and Phil Olsen (from the Bishopric).

We served doughnuts after and then headed back to Grandma and Grandpa Brown's house to open gifts! We are so happy Bridger decided to be baptized and make his first covenants with Heavenly Father. We prepared for this day for months and years, and he did great in his Bishop interview. He's been looking forward to his baptism and confirmation and it was such a special day. And, he got to be baptized right on his birthday! I'm grateful for all the family who came to support him, as well. :)
