The Park. :)

My parents and Brianna came up to visit for a weekend a couple weeks ago, while they were here, we decided to make a trip up to Ogden to visit Grandma and Grandpa. :) We had so much fun there. We ate KFC for lunch, then chatted, played on the swings, chilled on our blanket, took some fun pictures, and spun around on the carousel! Bridger was loving it!

I feel like Bridger and Grandma Lenore have a sweet connection, I love watching them together.

I love how Beckham "looks around" you to see things, ha ha. He does this all the time and we finally caught it on camera!

I am pretty sure this was Beckham's favorite part, ha ha, his diaper was super full, so we took it off and let him walk around the park a little bit before getting a new diaper and getting back in the car for the drive home. :)

He's so handsome. Grandma Brown held up the picnic blanket and had him pose and he thought it was so funny.

Scrunch face. :) One of his big things lately, ha ha.

10...11...and 12 months!! :)

I totally missed a 10 aaannndd 11 month post. I didn't even get a 10 month picture. :( I will have to substitute the blanket picture for another one.  Anyway, this little kiddo of mine is growing like crazy! He started taking steps at 10 months and by about 11.5 months he was choosing to walk over crawl consistently, which I am grateful for because he was eating everything off the ground...it has already been much better these past few weeks!

10 to 11 Months:
  • Taking a few steps in a row.
  • He would crawl up the stairs and wait for me to come find him...it's amazing how quiet he can be when he plays this game. :)
  • Can crawl SUPER fast.

  • Loves playing peek-a-boo, anywhere and everywhere, with anything.
  • He loves Nerf bullets, he will play with them in his mouth for forever, it freaks me out.
  • He ate a bug. :p I saw him munching so I went to do the usual "swipe" and a bug came out!! Needless to say, I flipped out, it was so gross. I just saw little legs and chunks of bug and shell on my finger. I grabbed a tissue to swipe his mouth with to get everything else out. Disgusting. Good thing my mom was there for emotional support.
  • Started waving bye-bye, he giggles every time, and stares at his hands like it's so weird, I love it.
  • He HATES being thrown in the air, he gets so scared and when he comes back down he grabs you around the neck with both of his little arms and cuddles you so tight.
  • He lets out these super loud squawks when he is frustrated or wants something, it seems to happen when we eat at restaurants more... ha ha.
He has always "sucked" on his lips...I love it.

  • He started sleeping longer around 11 months because we let him cry a couple nights, it was sad, but he only wakes up once or twice. He goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up around 6:30 in the morning.
  • We took him off all cereals, because they were constipating him, he's doing so much better now. :)
  • He got his Polio vaccine this month, he did great. :)

12 Months:
  • He loves his baths and splashing in there! If anyone gets in the shower, he is right at the side of the tub, smacking it and squawking so we will put him in, too. I love his personality.
His hair is getting SO long!

This picture makes me laugh. :)

Aaannndddd this is usually the type of thing I find happening, ha ha.

  • He can walk so good, he is getting pretty fast now. I love watching him toddle around with those chubby thighs. mmm. He is so tasty.
It's blurry, but you can kind of see his little teeth...

  • He got a third tooth! His top right center tooth. I think the other side is coming in soon...
  • He says "dada" more than anything, that's his favorite word, he won't say mama. We are working on it. He likes to say dad, daddy, yaya, nana and has started babbling in more of his own language, sort of like Bridger did. I love it.
  • He waves "bye-bye" really well, and touches his fingers together for "more" now, so it helps with those super loud squawks, ha ha. He also claps for "yay," and lifts his arms way up in the air to say that he's "all done." He also shakes his head and tells me "no no no no no," I have noticed he does it when he doesn't like something now, not just randomly.

  • He loves pretty much everything we give him to eat, he is getting sick of baby food, though. He pushes it away after a few bites unless it's fruit. We have started giving him small pieces of torn up toast, sweet potato, small pieces of chicken, little pieces of my waffles or pancakes, my homemade breakfast muffins, soft cooked carrots, cut up pasta, tortilla shells, avocado chunks, and cottage cheese...those are pretty much the main things. Basically, at meals we give him cut up pieces of whatever we eat and he loves it! For snacks he eats Puffs, Cheerios, any of the previously mentioned foods or baby cheetos (I know, so healthy...). I hope he stays a good eater, it's fun to give him new foods and know that he will probably like it, he eats quite a bit, too.
My boys both loved this cupboard at this age. :)

  • He used to not like grass very much, but we kept putting him out there and helping him walk on it and now he crawls all over it. :) He is also afraid of dogs still, like terrified. We are still working on that, ha ha.
  • He loves to go for walks, we usually take him in the little tikes car or the wagon and he has a lot of fun.
  • He will crawl UP the stairs, but will NOT let me teach him how to come back down. That boy.

  • He gets up around 6:30 AM and we go downstairs together to eat breakfast and I let him play while I work, if I don't watch him, he crawls up the stairs super quiet and he pushes Bridger's door open and wakes him up!! Little stinker. So, I learned, and I started putting the baby gate up when I worked, but then he just climbs up the couple stairs and clutches the gate while he screams up the stairs and wakes him up anyway. He's a smart cookie. I have noticed that Beckham always wants to be with Bridger, he plays better when he's there and he loves him. I have noticed Bridger become more protective of him, too, when other kids come around or if he is crawling away or something, he yells, "YOUR BABY!! YOUR BABY!!"

  • Beckham loves the toilet! Not playing in it (yet, hopefully not ever), just opening the lid up and down. I tell him "no, no" and shut the lid, but then he just shakes his head back and forth saying "nonononono," and keeps doing it. He's pretty dang good at that head shaking and saying "no no" at me. It's too cute to not smile at.

  • He is wearing 18-24 month clothes right now, he's a big boy! :)
  • He has been climbing on everything, Bridger's tricycle, Bridger's push car thing, his push toys (things you would never think he could even climb), and all over that Little Tikes car.
  • He loves to dance, anytime he hears a beat he will start moving, I love it. :)
  • Him and Bridger both love the piano. Love it.
I cannot believe he is one.
