Swimming Lessons. :)

I just realized I never put up pictures from swimming lessons over the summer! Bridger took swimming lessons at Camp Williams for two sessions. He did SO well, I think it really helped him get ready for the swimming lessons he is now taking through My Tech High. He made so much more progress this year than last, and I loved the teachers, they were so good with him. He had a lot of fun, I'm grateful he has been able to find something to do that he enjoys!

He always hates to be cold after he gets out of the water...

A few random pictures from the summer...

A picture Jeremy sent me on one of his TDY's. Lol.

Governor's Day & Cornbelly's. :)

Governor's Day was a few weeks ago, we always love to go watch the troops march and do all the fun family stuff they have after, although, this year we were too late to see the helicopters. They boys were a little disappointed, but we will make sure to see those first next year like we did last year. :)

Fire truck!!

Bridger kept asking to climb this, it's not often that he is willing to try new things, so of course we got in line. I was worried we would wait an hour only to have him back out and refuse. NOPE. Our little man got into that harness and went for it!! He almost made it to the top before saying he wanted to come back down, he got stuck a couple times because he's little, but he figured it out and kept going. I think he found a new interest, I am so proud of him.

Beckham tried too, but just wanted to bounce with the gear and not climb, lol.

In the fire truck!!

We went to Cornbelly's this last weekend, it's a little tradition we have. :) It was super fun and the boys loved it!! We will probably go back with our homeschool group in a couple weeks. :)

7 Years!! :)

We celebrated our 7th anniversary on September 26th, just last Monday. :) We decided to take our family up Provo Canyon to a park next to a trail that goes along the river. It was beautiful up there. We got some lunch to take with us, and ate it at the park, the boys got to play and then we went on a walk along the river. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Even as we were driving up the canyon I told Jeremy it felt like we were going camping. I love that feeling. Where you start driving up the mountain and it seems like the world fades away and an immediate peace starts to fill your spirit.

It was an amazing day, the boys loved our walk! We helped them collect different sizes and colors of leaves to do a Fall art project for school, and we even saw a super fuzzy caterpillar! They really loved it. That break from the world with just our little family was very much needed, there is nothing I would rather have done to celebrate our marriage.

Later we went home and had a nice steak dinner, then watched a movie after the kids went to bed. Super fun, low-key, relaxing day. :)

6 Months!! :)

"Lil' Tasty"

This little sweetie buns turned 6 months old on September 21st!
  • At his six month appointment he weighed 18.5 lbs. He was in the 90th percentile for height, 60th for weight, and 80th for head circumference. He got one shot, DTaP, and didn't even cry!
  • He is wearing 6-12 clothes and some 12-18 month clothes.
  • He is sitting up really good! He does still fall if he gets distracted by a toy he is reaching for. He can also sit in the crawl position, but has not moved forward yet, he likes to rock back and forth to practice. He is rolling like a pro!! He also likes to play on the floor on his belly, and can get around really well! He goes in a big circle and has been scooting forward
  • He has only tried a few bites of baby food so far, he loves it! We tried carrots first and they actually constipated him, so...we took a break and I think we will start some fruit next week. He loves to suck on apple slices and gum them too!
  • He was sleeping really well for a few weeks, then he started waking up in the early morning hours and he just lays in bed with us and growls! He stays up for like 1-2 hours. I can't decide why yet. I'm hoping he starts sleeping better again soon!
  • He takes two naps everyday, one in the morning around 10, and then an afternoon nap, around 1-2. The length of his naps varies, sometimes he takes a long morning nap and sometimes it's a long afternoon nap. He goes to bed in his crib around 7 PM and sleeps about 3 hours, then comes to bed with me and nurses before going back to sleep. He sometimes eats once more in the night and usually wakes up around 7 AM.
  • He started taking regular naps and going to sleep in his crib for bedtime about a week ago, he has been rolling so much that I can't leave him on our bed alone anymore.
  • When you are holding him, he will lean back and just look up into your eyes, and when you make eye contact he'll smile and hide his face in your shoulder. It's so cute. He does it if people smile at him too, like he's shy. lol.
  • He has had a little bit of stranger shyness, sometimes he cries if someone tries to hold him or talk to him that he doesn't know well.
  • He nurses every 2-3 hours.
  • He says three different sounds right now da-da (his first word), ba-ba, and occasionally ma-ma. Da-da is definitely his favorite word.
  • He loves to wake up in the morning and feel his daddy's scruff, lol. It's funny. He loves to pull hair, but most of the time is very gentle.
  • He thinks Bridger and Beckham are SO FUNNY. He loves them, and they love to make him laugh and smile.
  • His hair has been growing so fast it seems like, and it's SO FUZZY! LOL. It's so soft and getting long, but the top just likes to stick straight up! (See the picture below, lol)
  • He loves his baths, he has almost grown out of his baby tub, but he loves to kick so much that there is barely any water left to wash him in!
  • As soon as you lay him down to change his diaper or clothes, he rolls over. He is so fast. I have to have a toy ready to distract him.
  • He is so happy and he has the biggest, sweetest baby smile. We love him so much.

He loves this wrap!
