My baby boy is six months old! Ah.
Half a year old already. How did that happen???
New things for this cute little ham....
- He started clapping at the very end of five months/beginning of six months. It was just all of a sudden, I hadn't been trying to teach him or anything...we were just sitting at the table for dinner and he started clapping. :) It is SO cute. Now he LOVES to clap and his chubby little hands are adorable.
- He has gotten up on his hands and knees all by himself one time so far, but he loves to have me put him up on his hands and knees so he can rock and balance. He's getting really good! Sometimes he even sort of bounces forward like a little frog. :)
- He still says "dad" a lot...I'm going to admit that dad was his first word. He did say ma a few times but I don't count it. Jeremy and I are one for one now.
- No teeth yet, but his little gums have been so swollen!
- He will be getting his second DTaP shot this month.
- He loves crinkly up paper/tissues/towels and watching them unfold.
- He nurses every 2-4 hours, and he had his very first bite of rice cereal two nights ago...he loves it! He gets so excited in his little high chair, he just squeals and smiles and tries to grab the spoon. We also started letting him suck from a soft nipple (not a bottle shape but a spout) and he thinks that's pretty fun, too. :)
- He goes down for naps at 9 and around 1130-1230 and sleeps for about 45 minutes each nap, sometimes longer, but not usually, unless he sleeps with me. He occasionally takes a late afternoon nap and then goes to bed at 9 and sleeps in his crib until around 1, then he comes to bed with me for the rest of the night. He wakes up at about 7 every morning...no matter what time he goes to bed! Little stinker.
- He is starting to pull himself up on small things (little chairs, suitcases etc.) and is getting really close to a crawling position from sitting up. He's a strong boy. :)
- He loves his exersaucer/jumper.
- And he is doing better in the car!! *knock on wood* I figured out that I have to put him in, give him his binky and then cover him with the fuzzy soft blue blanket...then I have to play Josh Groban the WHOLE car ride. And vwalah. Sleeping little dude. Hopefully my trick lasts.
He always has this big grin ready for whenever I look at him and smile, sometimes it's so big his head falls back and he almost falls over, it melts my heart. :)
I love him.
