My Boys. :)

These two boys of mine. Let me just start with a MY HEAVENS. Why? Because I love them that much, they are wild and rambunctious, they have more energy than I know what to do with, and they are everything to me. :) How do I love these two sweet boys SO MUCH??? I wonder about that sometimes when we've had a long day and I feel like a maniac, desperate to get them in bed...but then as soon as they are asleep I want to kiss their sweet cheeks and cuddle them all night. What?? Lol. It doesn't make sense, but I love them with all my heart, and I always will.

I've really been praying lately to be more patient as a Mom, I want my kids to always know how much they are loved...I think all kids do things to push our buttons on purpose, and that's the part I need to work on. For example, they like to giggle and make each other laugh while we are eating (no matter how many times I ask them to stop!), they like to run around the entire house naked after their baths while I'm yelling for them to come back and get their pj's on, then when they finally come back they bounce on their beds and act crazy while I try to help them dress. Beckham likes to turn in circles and pretend he can't hear me when I ask him to stop doing something, and they shared a room for about a month and a half and they would go wild in there for about 45 minutes before passing out (we separated them two nights ago)...oh, and they fake punch each other until someone gets hurt, and like to get really crazy in the grocery store on our weekly shopping trips...the list goes on. What is funny is that I chuckle a little as I'm thinking about these things, when it's not right in that moment! It's at night time when they are calm and sleeping when I realize that these are just things that little boys do. They both have such amazing personalities, and they really are SO GOOD, especially one on one (it's when they get together that it gets crazy). I haven't been around a lot of people with young boys...I wonder sometimes if their kids get as wild as mine! Lol. They have SO much energy, jumping off things, wrestling, running through the house with their cars, climbing, having pillow fights, etc. I find Hot Wheels, Legos, marbles and nerf darts everywhere! Let's just say that by the end of the day I am completely worn out!

Then they do sweet things.

Bridger when we cuddle at night...he traces my face and arms and tells me that, "when I do this it makes you stay here forever." He's a smart one! Lol. I usually do cuddle time for about 10 minutes with both of them, his tricks work and I don't want to leave! He will be an amazing husband. :) He also plays with my hair because he knows I love it.

Beckham likes to sing when we cuddle (which, he says "I wanna tuddle you!). He sings me Paw Patrol (Taw Troll) or asks me to sing Twinkle Star or "Pawcorn," or "Bus," over and over. Lol.

Bridger woke up with a cough yesterday, so we stayed home from church today. He has been doing an online preschool called UPSTART since last September, and he is already reading! Right before naps he went and got some books off the shelf and told Beckham he would read to him before nap, I watched from the kitchen table as they climbed on the couch together and read a few books, it was really sweet and I wanted a picture SO BAD. It is not often that they will sit still together (and not tease each other), and I loved seeing Bridger doing something nice for Beckham and using his new reading skills. He was pointing at the pictures with him and reading the books so good!

Bridger and Beckham LOVE to read about the golden fruit in Lehi's dream, the Tree of Life. Bridger has talked to me about it multiple times, I'm not sure he grasps the deeper meaning of the symbolism behind the tree and the bad people, but I think he gets the basic points of the dream. He came to me and said, "I want some of the golden fruit. I don't want Beckham to go to the bad people, I want him to have fruit too!" I told Bridger that he and Beckham could both have the golden fruit, we just have to make right choices. He thinks really deeply about things, so I have to be careful about how in depth I go about certain things he brings up. As he gets older I will definitely help him understand better about this Tree of Life. It is nice to see that our scripture study pays off though, they really do listen! Lol. At least part of the time. He brought up Nephi building the ship last Sunday, I told him that Nephi prayed to Heavenly Father and he was told to build a ship. Bridger just kept saying, but where did he get tools and know how?? I explained to him about how the Lord directed Nephi and I bet the Holy Ghost helped him know step by step and how we can get that same help with our own questions if we are willing to obey.

Lately, Bridger has also been making videos with his LeapPad. He has to take a 2 hour rest time from 1-3 PM everyday, and usually he just plays in his room or on his LeapPad. He makes these cute videos where he just talks to you about something, then he brings it down and shows me. Sometimes he tells me he wants to play Mario Kart with me, but usually he is just talking, lol, it's cute.

Beckham loves to cuddle "my baby," he lays his head on my belly and kisses it and talks to the baby. Bridger likes to feel the movements too. :)

This picture shows his silly personality SO well.

They get in their fights, multiple ones everyday, actually, but they have a great bond and I hope they always keep it. We put them in a room together and they had a blast, but Bridger needs a solid 12 hours of sleep and it was quite obvious he was not getting it with how whiney and tired he was during the days. We moved them to separate rooms again and it has been much better, but I'm glad they love to play together. They tell each other jokes and think that whatever they do is just so funny. I love these boys and I am SO grateful for them!! They bring so much laughter and joy into my life and I hope they know everyday how much I love them. :)

Me: Bridger, what do you love?
Bridger: You! I love you Mommy!
---He is so sweet to me.

I asked Bridger some questions:
What toys do you love: Transformers, my Paw Patrollers, and I love my Jake hut and I love ALL our toys.
What foods do you love: Chicken nuggets and cake, and pizza and cupcakes and cookies and chicken, waffles. I like granola vanilla yogurt.
What is your favorite movie: Paw Patrol, Star Wars

I promise I feed my kids better than that! Lol.

Beckham loves to play with all the big boy toys that Bridger likes, so we pretty much just have to buy two of everything!

Beckham is not very picky, so he eats almost anything I give him except red meat and asparagus. He loves blueberries (bababababerries), strawberries, bananas, grapes (bapes), grapefruit, yogurt, cheese, chicken, apples and of course all the things Bridger listed too. Lol.

He can talk really well, some of the things he says that make me laugh are "40 bucks!" He calls himself 40 bucks sometimes, or our house, or when he measured me with a measuring tape he said I was "40 bucks!" Lol, I'm not sure where that came from. He also says "How 'bout" this or that, I love it. At the beginning of January, Jeremy told the boys to start cleaning up the living room, our tree was still up, and he told the boys that everything needed to be out of sight. So immediately, Beckham says "how 'bout here?" As he starts stuffing Hot Wheels tracks in the tree. LOL. I guess in his logic, in the tree was out of sight, right? Smart kid.

Alright, this post is getting very long. I need to update more often so they aren't so long!

Awhile. :)

So, I realized just yesterday that it has been awhile since I have updated on Jeremy, what he has been up to and some funny stories from our marriage.

He still loves to write music and sing, and he's really amazing at it too, he just doesn't have much time to write music nowadays, lol. *part of that is my fault because I just want to hang out with him ALL. THE. TIME. and I'm a little selfish with him*

He is an amazing Daddy, he is so good to be on the floor, playing with our boys. When he hasn't been home all day one of the first things he does is find the boys and get on the floor to play. :) They love it. They love to cuddle him at night after stories too.

He got called to be the Second Counselor in our new ward Bishopric the Sunday after Christmas...that was a huge surprise! We have only lived in this ward for about seven months now, and we didn't even know the ward was splitting until we met with the Stake President. We got a call on Tuesday afternoon asking if Jeremy and I could meet with the Stake President in like two hours, I said yes, and then we tried to figure out what it could be for, lol. Our best guess was that they were going to call us as Stake Preparedness Specialists or something like that. Well, we get our kids ready for bed and take them with us in their pjs, we were both nervous (who isn't when you think it's about a calling???). We got in to see him finally and he asked very direct, pointed questions and both Jeremy and I were just wondering what was going on, lol. He then found a chapter in the scriptures and started reading and it was about High Priests, at this point, Jeremy really started to focus. The Stake President told us the ward was splitting and he asked Jeremy to be Second Counselor in the new bishopric. He accepted (I can still see the look on his face, lol), and then the Stake President asked me if I believed that Heavenly Father would bless him with the time and talents he needed for this calling, and I said yes. :) I really do believe that, too. They released everyone from every calling, except for I think three people, so that first month was VERY crazy for them. He has been gone a lot, and very busy, on a regular week now the boys don't see him at all on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, so that has probably been the toughest part. I feel like I now have a lot more compassion for single parents. He works 10 hour days, 4 days a week, then has meetings Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, then he had drill Friday, Saturday and Sunday this last week (so that means 10 days straight of work), and still went to church after drill to help with tithing. I miss having him home more, but I have a sense of peace about it, it's definitely been difficult because the boys and I don't really get a break from each other and we start to drive each other crazy, but I know it's worth it because Heavenly Father wants him in this calling and I think it's good for him. Anyway, he was set apart as a High Priest the Sunday after Christmas, my Dad was able to ordain him and he was also able to have his Uncle Matt and Grandpa Steve in the circle with my Dad and the Stake Presidency. We were very grateful for the support of our families in this, it was a big step. :)

Ok, I have to just throw this in here. So, we each had our own separate "pillow styles," or so I thought! Jeremy told me he liked a puffier pillow, so he switched his flat one for the big one...I like the flat one, lol. We moved, and somewhere in there we forgot which pillow we both liked better, so when we finally got our bed put together and were sleeping in it we didn't really think about who had which one. I mentioned to Jeremy that I was pretty sure we had the wrong pillows and he was like, "no...this one is mine." WELL. I started getting these crazy neck aches (partly from sleeping on the couch in that nauseous stage of pregnancy) and partly from my dang pillow!! This goes on for about three months and I just can't figure out why I hate my pillow so much (since, you know, he had been so positive that he had the flat one), add in three chiropractor appointments to this as well. RANDOMLY, Jeremy says, "this pillow is so flat!!" as he is trying to like squish it and poof it up, and I was like, "there's another pillow in the closet, go try that one." So he gets the other puffy pillow and he says it is SO much better. I snatched my pillow back so fast. I was so happy to have my pillow back that I couldn't help but laugh at this husband of mine!! What a punk. lol. He got confused about his pillow and made me have this uncomfortable pillow for like four months...good thing I love him so much. :)

Another time I had a serious craving for a Jamba Juice smoothie (I crave slushies a lot when I'm pregnant). Well. We were in Hurricane, UT, and there is definitely NO Jamba Juice or any other smoothie place in that town besides McDonald's (which just wasn't going to cut it). He was so sweet and looked up a Jamba Juice recipe online, then he took me to Lin's and we got all the ingredients at like 11:00 PM. We got back to my parents house and he made me a delicious copycat smoothie...I honestly have to say that it tasted more amazing than anything because he went to so much effort to make it for me.

I am so grateful for him in my life, I try to tell him that every day. He does SO much for our family between work, drill, serving in his calling and still being the best Dad and husband ever...he doesn't get much time to himself, but he doesn't complain. He spoils me. I love him. Thanks for all you do, babelicious. You are the best.
