Beckham is 7!! :)

Beckham is SEVEN!! He is such a joy in our family. Seriously. We call him our little ray of sunshine, and he loves it. His eyes literally twinkle when he smiles. If he is mad, I can just tickle him or make him laugh and then he is happy, it's cute. He is very intense with his play, but he also has good emotional control and, most of the time, he will be really patient with the little ones when they try to play with him. He loves to play rough with his brothers and his toys, but also is sooo sweet, especially to Roslyn and I. When Roz was in my belly he would ask where she was and then he would put his cheek to my belly and talk to her every single night and tell her how much he loves her and couldn't wait for her to come and then would tell her goodnight and kiss her, and then he would rest his hand and feel for her kicks. Every night. He still has a very, very sweet relationship with her. He loves to cuddle in the mornings, he usually gets up really early, and right on the dot at 7 AM he runs to our room and likes to crawl in our warm bed and play with Roz. He loves to get up early and go walking with either me, or while we've been living in Hurricane, with Grandma, and chat and talk. He loves to play with his brothers, he has a special relationship with each of them and plays differently with each of them. He and Benson really grew in their relationship this past year as Benson matured and he was finishing school so early, they had lots of time to play together and that has been really great (besides the brother fights, lol).

I think one of his greatest talents is being able to sit down and get things done, he doesn't drag it out, or even whine really. He sometimes gets his school done before 8 AM! lol. Because he likes to go so fast all the time, I have to remind him to do good, quality work, so that's something we are working on. But honestly, he flies through his school and he does an amazing job, there aren't too many corrections to be made. He is in Level 3 LA (which is grade 3-4 language arts with the curriculum we use), so he is WAY ahead, he is just starting second grade this coming fall. He is an excellent reader, and has been reading chapter books for the last couple years, some of his favorites are the Boxcar Children series, he also finished all of the Magic Treehouse series and really liked them, and he loved to listen to me read The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe series.

He used finger paint to paint Lehi's Dream!

He always has SO much energy!! So much. lolol. I am constantly telling him to calm down or chill out. He runs everywhere, can beatbox cool beats to go along with whatever play he is doing, and he loves to build really cool and intricate Hot Wheels tracks. He will use stuff from all over the house to make the tracks balance or have different levels. He loves to play baseball, mostly hit balls, and played t-ball again this last year and really loved it! He is also quite the tease. When he's in the right mood, he loves to help me in the kitchen, he is getting really good at slicing strawberries and grapes, he also helps me rinse beans, and he likes to help me bake bread. He has been saying for the last year that he wants to be a pizza shop owner!

He is SO tall!! At his yearly appointment in April he measured at the 98th percentile for height! He has been wearing 8-10 year size clothes for the last year, and weighs about 65 lbs. It's so hard to believe that my tiny baby is seven and getting so tall and strong already.

We love him so much and we are so grateful to have him in our family forever.

He brought me toast in bed for breakfast, he is so sweet.

7 Months!! :)

This gorgeous Rozzie Girl is 7 months!!

This sweet little sugar drop has all of us in love with her. She is SO cute and SO sweet. Her bright, blue eyes literally sparkle and she has the biggest smile with adorable dimples. Her hair has started to grow longer and thicker, it is still very light, but we think she has my hair color. She cut her first TWO teeth this last month, we didn't even realize that she had cut her first one until Jeremy saw her gums one day when he was playing on the floor with her, lol. She also tried her first solid foods this last month! She is a happy lil muffin, she loves to sit up like a big girl and play with toys on her blankets, she is also very attached to me (and me to her), lol. She loves to play with her little feet, and is always holding them, and has started saying the cutest little "buh, buh, buh" sound over and over, it makes us laugh because it's SO cute. She loves to spit and "squish" her lips to make sounds, she is absolutely adorable. I love to kiss her sweet cheeks, nibble her yummy ears, and kiss on her tasty chubbies. If I leave the room she cries, so I carry her almost everywhere! She is completely content to sit on my hip and observe everything as she travels around the house with me. :) We are so grateful for this sweet little peach, she brings a sweetness and love that our family needs.

Nicknames
Mommy: "Lil Peach," "Rozzie Girl," "Roz," "Muffin," "Sugar Drop"
Daddy: "Pickle"

Beckham: "Baby Girl"
Benson: "Baby Sister"
Anderson: "Baby Sister"

  • She is wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes.
  • She cut two teeth this last month!
  • She coos and talks so much!
  • When she's nursing we almost always lay down so it's easier for her to keep up with my fast letdown, when she's tired and ready to go to sleep, she tucks her little feet between my thighs and cuddles in to me. I absolutely love it and never want to move.
  • She still rubs at her ear when she is tired, she will scratch it and pull on it and rub it, it's cute.
  • She still holds on to my hair when I'm carrying her around, lol.
  • She tried her first solid foods this month! She tried banana and apple in a rubber teether and LOVES both. She also tried applesauce, veggie broth from some soup I made, and butternut squash. She loved all of them!
  • She loves to jump in her bouncer and can jump so high!
  • She is sitting up SO good, she can reach for toys and sit back up without falling, her balance is really good. We love to watch her play and learn, she will pick up a toy in her tiny hand and then move her little wrist back and forth to test the toy out before she sucks on it, it's so cute.
  • She still sleeps with me, and she has been waking up in the night and staying up for 1-2 hours, it's been very tiring! She goes to sleep at 7 PM and sleeps until between 11-1, nurses, and then goes back to sleep until around 4 AM, nurses, and then she's up for the day between 6-7 AM. She only takes one nap per day! She naps from 11/11:30-2. She is our only baby who only takes one nap at this age, I've tried to get her to take two naps, but if she sleeps earlier she won't go to sleep later, so that midday nap works best. If she falls asleep on my shoulder and wakes up ten minutes later, she thinks that was her nap for the day, so I have to be very careful to always put her down to sleep at nap time so she actually takes a nap! lol. To go to sleep we lay down in our bed and I nurse her, and if she's tired and ready for bed she will go to sleep pretty quick next to me. If she's not tired yet she will nurse, and then play with her feet and fuss a little bit until she's ready, and I will turn on scripture lullabies or smooth jazz (she loves music) and that will usually help her go to sleep.
  • Every time I take off her diaper to change it she reaches down and scratches her sweet little chubbies, lol. Then, when I put her diaper back on, she scratches it and has even taken it off a few times, lol. She likes to scratch different textures all the time! She does it with her toys, her blankets, clothes, and the carpet.
  • She loves to play in the bath! She slaps the water with her tiny hands and makes the cutest little splashes.
  • Her brothers all adore her and take such good care of her. If they see her sitting up without a pillow behind her, they will run to get two pillows so she doesn't get hurt if she falls over. They bring her toys, and if she gets fussy they will sit and play with her until I can hold her. It's so sweet. I love all of them.
  • If someone else is holding her, or I pick her up from playing on the floor or bed, she wraps her arms around me and squeezes me SO tight, like she just missed me so much. I squeeze her back. It's so adorable. I'll be carrying her around and I'll look at her and she will make this direct eye contact with me and then put her tiny hand on my cheek or my neck, like she saying "I love you, Mom." It warms my entire soul and makes me cry. She is so sweet.

Anderson photo bombing in the background, nude as can be. (He just took a bath and I didn't realize he was in the picture, LOL).

Yummy baby toes.

Trying solids for the first time!
