I love this boy so much. I am grateful that the bond I feel with him gets stronger everyday, it's hard for me to believe that my sweet little baby I gave birth to 4 years ago is a little boy now. He brings light, and joy and all of the little boy energy you can imagine into our family. He is an amazing big brother, he does his share of teasing, but he takes care of Beckham and watches out for him already. This kid is so smart, funny, and silly. He loves his Hot Wheels, and he LOVES trains. Loves them. I'm thinkin' when he gets a older we'll get him an actual train set he can build and take care of, they fascinate him.
He is starting to learn how to read from Bob books, he's doing really well! I let him choose a letter of the day every morning, then we choose a book with that letter in the title to read together, and we choose three words that he copies to practice writing, then he tapes them up. We also practice writing the letter in his activity book, his handwriting is actually really good. He still has a "rest" time everyday (it's mostly for me, though, ha ha), he stopped going to sleep during nap time about 5 months ago, now he plays the learning games on his Leap Pad (that seriously is like the best toy ever). He got a Lego alarm clock for his birthday because he kept yelling for me like fifteen times in his two hour nap time to ask if he could get up. Now, I tell him "you can get up when the BIG number is a 3," and he will play his Leap Pad and when he sees the three he calls for me. :) Yes, he still will not leave his bed morning or nap without asking me first, he is such a good kid. He already looks older to me these last couple of months, how does that happen so fast? One day you wake up...and then they look older, it's a little terrifying, you know? One day I'm going to wake up and he'll be 18 and leaving on his mission. :,) I can't think about that right now, ha ha. Anyway, I am so grateful for this sweet boy of mine.
