Introducing Chaplain, Captain Jeremy Jarvis! He officially promoted on June 18, 2022, but we had to wait for the official orders to come through and they finally did two weeks ago. Mom and Dad were already planning a trip to visit, so we decided to wait until they could be here for it and I'm so glad we did. It was so good to have their support! We ordered a special cake to be made by a sister in our ward and she did an awesome job, she saved me so much stress, her willingness to make the cake on such short notice was a huge blessing this week! The ceremony was awesome, Ch Knight said some really kind things, and when they asked me to come up to pin his patch they invited our entire family up and I loved it! Our kids came up with me, Beckham ripped off his old patch and I put the new one on and gave him a kiss and then we all gave him one huge hug, haha. It was perfect.
Jeremy invited several people to join us for the ceremony, some of them included: Grandma & Grandpa Brown, Grandpa Jarvis, Lt. Col. Chaplain Knight (Wing Chaplain), Abere, Prohaska, Bendelle, Lt. Bailey Bates and his wife Leena, Sgt. Smith, Capt. Walker, Lt. Linzo and his fiancé, and a commander from one of the squadrons he's chaplain for.
This is a promotion that has been in our sights for a few years now, and we are so grateful he's finally captain! It's been a journey, and we are grateful for the experience.
We also got to visit the Gates of the Mountains near Helena with Grandma and Grandpa while they were visiting, that was really awesome but SO hot! We saw some bald eagles, nests, and heard an awesome history about the area, then we went out for dinner after. We also celebrated Grandpa Brown's birthday while they were here! And, we went to the Louis & Clark museum here in Great Falls and the kids did cool activities, like the Junior Ranger badge program, we definitely needed Grandma and Grandpa's help for the museum activities, haha. Love having them visit!
