Swimming Lessons. :)

I signed Bridger up for swimming lessons at Camp Williams for two levels of lessons, level one in June and level two in July. He is quite the cautious child, but I thought he would really like them and it would give us a reason to get out of the house and have some fun. All the classes I could find around here were super super expensive, so when I found out that Camp Williams offered classes that were much better priced I was really happy. :) Because they are only open to military families or people who come with a military sponsor, it's almost never busy and the classes are really small. I love it! There were five in the first level, and only three kids in the second level.

His teacher is really cute with him, she knows he is super particular and she has been really patient and learned how to work with him to get him to be more brave. He was jumping in the pool and blowing bubbles in the water, but he doesn't like to get his face wet so he tries to just do tiny bubbles and she always has him do it again until he does it right, ha ha. In level 2 they are supposed to learn to float on their back and go all the way under the water, she was able to get him to do it (basically), his face goes under, but not his hair, ha ha. This boy. He also doesn't like to be cold, so he tells me he doesn't like swimming lessons, but I know that he does, it's just the getting in and getting out part he really doesn't like. I'm really proud of him for doing so well and cooperating with his teacher throughout these four weeks! He is floating on his back super well and is much more comfortable in the water, I will definitely sign him up for the next levels next year. I will be signing Beckham up too, he would jump in with all his clothes on if I let him (yes, he has tried). Beckham already likes to go under the water and hold his breath, over and over and over and over again. He really wanted to get in with the class, so next year for sure. :)

He kept saying, "shoes off! Shoes off!" To get in the pool.

His teacher was giving the pre-class "rules."

He is so competitive, he wanted to win every time they went to the other side of the pool.

Beckham partying with me on the chairs! :)
