37 Weeks & Mother's Day. :)

I am 37 weeks as of today. :)

Here is a picture of me at 35.5 weeks...

And here is a picture of me at 37 weeks...

Our baby's heartbeat was 125-165 today...ha ha it's all over the place! Little cutie. We have a girl name but we still don't have a boy name. :l We should probably work on that...

Our nursery is ready once again! I moved Bridger out of the nursery and into his big boy room last week. He loves his twin bed and I think he loves his new room! It's so cute. We hesitated to move him out so close to our due date because we want to keep things as routine as possible with a new baby coming and trying to adjust, but I really didn't want to wait another four months to move him into his room, so we went ahead and tried it thinking that if he didn't do well with the twin bed we would just move him back. Like I said, so far he is loving it, I hope he continues! ha ha. We won't even use the nursery for probably about 9-10 months after our baby is born...just for the changing table and maybe for naps once he/she is older, but I'm glad I won't have to worry about moving rooms around with a little baby, and now Bridge can have his own little space. :)

On to Mother's Day!

My boys and my parents made it the best Mother's Day ever! My babelicious took me out to Olive Garden Saturday night, then Sunday morning got up and made me some Texas Toast French Toast with fresh strawberries, blackberries and blueberries and cool whip. mmm. Toss some cinnamon on top of all that and it's like heaven. He is an awesome cook! Bridger loved it too. :) My mom sent me a cute little book in the mail about being a mother, and so far I've loved reading it, she also got sneaky and set up a little plan with Jeremy...they both went in on the price of a prenatal chiropractor I've been wanting to go to, they split the cost because they knew how much I've been wanting/needing to go. It was really sweet of them. :)

My boys looked so cute for church, they matched just for me!

And my delicious and perfect french toast! mmm.mm.m.

Bridger. :)

I thought it would be a good idea for me to go ahead and do Bridger's 2.5 year old post since he will turn 2.5 on my due date, and who knows when this baby is coming?? ha ha. So I want to get this done now. :)

In the last few months his vocabulary has exploded! It seems like he says a few new words every day, he has also started using short sentences, but he still really likes "his" language most of the time, I love it and I'm going to miss it like crazy when he grows out of it.

His new things right now:

  • "Sit down!" He says it like a command while he points at the chair or couch, it's so funny.
  • He can say all the letters in the alphabet when we say them with him, and he has started pointing out "O", "C", and "T" on cereal boxes, in books, and on license plates or anything else he sees them on. He only really started doing this about a week ago when he was watching leapfrog on Netflix, then we bought him this big alphabet puzzle and from there he just took off! He's doing so good! He can name all the letters of the alphabet on his own and match them up when he does his puzzle. :)
  • He still only likes to say "two" or "three" and will hold up two or three fingers, he will occasionally do four or five.
  • His most used words..."boo-a" (book), show (to watch a show on Netflix), sit down!, na-na (binky), pee, poo, momma, daddy, toes, ow, eyes, nose, please, toast, juice, more, no, shesh (yes)...I really can't remember all of his words, there are so many! And like I said, it seems like he is saying a few new words a day so let's just say this is a short list of what I can think of at the moment, ha ha.
  • Instead of patting my belly now, I ask him..."where's our baby?" and he points to my belly and smiles. He gives my belly kisses and even growled/mumbled into it once, it was so cute. Jeremy was showing him how to talk to our baby. I think he is starting to understand that there is a baby in there, but I think that he thinks it's just going to stay in there...either way, it's progress from him patting it and calling it a ball! :) ha ha.
  • He loves to read books! We read three before nap and three before bed and he likes to go to sleep with one.
  • We moved him to his new "big boy" room last week, he has been sleeping in a twin bed and is doing great. I think he likes it. :)
  • He sleeps with this little baby doll that we bought him a few months ago, and since we've been talking about our baby so much he has been giving it a lot of attention...a couple nights ago Jeremy was laying down on his bed with him, the doll was between them while they read stories and Bridger was drinking his chocolate milk....all of a sudden Bridger took the baby's binky out and started sharing his chocolate milk with it! It was so cute! There was milk dripping everywhere out of the baby's mouth but we just let him share and then cleaned it up, then he put it's binky back in it's mouth and laid down like everything was cool. ha ha.
  • Still LOVES cars! Loves them like no other toy.
  • Besides cars he loves puzzles, any kind, he will sit and play with puzzles for over an hour. He's so good at them too!
  • Whenever he gets an "ow" he comes to me or Jeremy and once he has a kiss he's all better! And he runs off to play, I love it. He will also kiss our "ouch" anytime and will point them out for us if he thinks there's one (like a little mole or something) ha ha.

I love his personality. I love everything about him. He is quite the high maintenance child with his perfectionistic tendencies and his concern that things be done exactly how he needs them to be which is overwhelming for me and his daddy sometimes...his socks have to be on right, a fingernail that's broken needs to be taken care of, he hates getting food on his face or hands or clothes when he eats, he doesn't like getting dirty at all, he hates when his shirt comes up in the back...and a bunch of other things. Some people say he will grow out of these things, but they don't know Bridger like I do. :) This is all just part of who he is, he will mature but his personality will be the same, and that's perfectly okay. I know it's who he needs to be and how he was sent to Jeremy and I, and we love everything about him. Along with these little tendencies, he is pretty cautious and if he doesn't think he can do something right, he won't try at all! The little stinker. :) But he knows when to stay close to me when we are out and about, and for the most part listens so well, especially when it makes sense in his two year old mind. ha ha.

I love to see how his personality changes and grows as he gets older, it's so interesting to me to see how it's been the same since he was a newborn and in my belly, too!

I sure love my boy, he's my buddy forever. :)

Here are my boys putting Bridger's tricycle together (finally!)...

Best buds. :)

He is so big!! :)

He loves his bike! :) He only waited almost five months to get it put together. :s haha!
