Lil' Tasty is 10 months!
And obviously these lips are his new thing...
He makes me laugh. :)
At 10 months...
- He nurses 3-4 times a day.
- He weighs about 21 pounds and is wearing 12-18 month clothes.
- His favorite word is STILL da-da, he says it all day long. And when he really loves something he's eating he says na-na-na and slaps his tray. lol. He also says ba-ba a lot. I've been trying to teach him animal sounds, but he just laughs at me.
- He gets carried around in my Ergo carrier a lot nowadays, since we are so busy with homeschool stuff and we are out and about so much, but he does really well and will sleep sometimes.
- He loves bath time. He tries to go on his belly in the water when he's playing, so I have to watch him close! All three boys in the tub is getting pretty crowded!
- He has NOT been sleeping well. AT ALL. He was doing really good, and then teething started and it all went downhill. He still only has the two bottom, but the two on either side have been taking forever to come through and he has had swollen gums and a stuffy nose for 2-3 weeks now. gah. Poor baby. Poor Mommy. He is still so happy, it amazes me. He goes to bed between 7-8, and nurses about 2 times per night. He was sleeping in his crib most of the night at the beginning of the month, but I ended up sleeping on the floor in the nursery and he was still waking up so I brought him back to our bed until he feels better. We have both been sleeping better that way. :)
- He naps twice a day still, between 9:30-10 he goes to sleep in the morning and takes about a 2 hour nap, then in the afternoon he goes down around 2-3 and sleeps for 1-1.5 hours.
- He loves to eat pears, prunes and apples. He loves melon, banana, and ice in his little silicone teether thing. He started eating cut up pieces of banana this month and loves that. He loves his baby snack foods and this month he also got to start eating greek vanilla yogurt and regular vanilla yogurt, which he LOVES. He gets SO messy, but he eats it all by himself with his spoon! He does NOT like cottage cheese, sweet potatoes, green beans or carrots.
- He has been standing and balancing for a few seconds at a time, and he even took a step yesterday! He crawls super fast and has been loving to practice going up and down the stairs the last few weeks. I have to watch him close!
- He loves when Bridger and Beckham push him around in a laundry basket. lol. It's so cute.
- He loves Captain so much. They play with the same toys, and he tries to eat his food every single day. Captain lets him pull his hair and Captain licks his face and hands and Benson just giggles. They are best friends and I love it so much. Even though sometimes it's gross. lol. Captain will just follow him around, and they take each other's toys. It is so funny to watch.
- Benson has been loving pushing baskets and toys and ride-on cars around the house.
- His new lip thing started a few weeks ago, he puckers his lips and says ooo-ooo-ooo, lololol. It is adorable.
- He likes to cover his ears (usually just one ear) and talk, I think he hears that his voice sounds different when he covers his ears, lol. Sometimes I will cover them and he will say ooo-ooo-ooo, to hear it. It makes me laugh.
I love this little nugget so much. He calms me. He makes me happy. I am so grateful to be his Mom and to have him in our family. Just looking at him makes me smile...that fuzzy cute hair, his rolls, his chub, his tiny little self (even though he is actually tall for his age), his smile and those two tiny teeth that peek out when he grins. His eyes twinkle, and I already know he's got his Daddy's eyebrows. I love his personality, he's silly and funny, sweet and cuddly. I love him so much.
Mad face. But notice that he's doing an eyebrow thing just like his Daddy, lol.
