Who likes to party? We do. :)

Ok, so I am still pretty upset with myself for having a dead battery the day of his birthday, I didn't take "detail" pictures of all the cute decorations I made, but I guess in the end all that matters is that we have pictures of this handsome little boy. :) I have to thank my sister Jen for taking pictures for me, she came better prepared then I did! Jeremy designed his birthday cake in to a baseball, it was so cute. I also had help from Brianna, Marisa and Jarom on the cupcakes and my mom helped me with the baking, and some of the sewing! I appreciate everyone's help so much, it really made things easier...

First of all, here is the invite I made on Photoshop...

This is pretty much everyone who came to his party, we had a great turnout and it was so fun to have everyone together!! These were Bridger's party favors. If you can't see them very well, they are little glasses with the noses attached. They were cute, Bridger wouldn't wear one. :p Little stinker. The garland in the background is the same paper I used for the flag thing that's hanging at the top of the picture. Also, to the very very left, I had Bridgers 1-11 month pictures hung up with mini clothes pins on a little rope that matched his birthday hat.

He LOVES loves loves loves loves cars and trucks, this is now one of his favorites...He ended up just wanting to play with all of the already open presents instead of opening more.

You can kind of see his little birthday outfit I made for him, he has a baseball tie onesie and leg warmers, it looks SO cute on him.

Here is a better picture of his onesie...

Calum (Left) & Bridger (Right), they are a couple of cuties.

His birthday hat...that he didn't like. :p haha

Birthday cake time...

Doesn't it look like he just LOVES birthday cakes???

This is how much...
...
...
He only got this dirty because I pushed his hand in it, he wasn't very happy with me.

mmmmm.

Bridger with all of his presents...or, most of them at least. And some of the decorations. The quilt I made him is on the right, I can't wait to finish it! You can't see them very well, but the cupcakes have little toothpick flags that matched the garland and flag banner, I am a freak about details if you couldn't tell...

This is my niece Cailin, modeling her glasses and sexy nose for us. She's such a cutie.

One last thing...

I decided to do a time capsule for Bridger to open on his 18th birthday, so I made little cards for people to write on to put in the jar if they forgot to bring something. A few people made special envelopes and cards with pictures, everyone else wrote on the cards (memories, things they love about him, predictions, drew a picture etc.) Jeremy and I are both going to write "mom & dad" letters to him and I am also going to write down the major milestones and when he hit them and any other really special memories from the past year, I am going to print pictures from the party to put in too. I put in the 1-11 month pictures, some other pictures from throughout the year, the party invitation and pieces of the decorations from his party, as well as one of the glasses/nose party favors. It turned out really cute and I can't wait to finish it and seal it up until he turns 18! Mostly, I can't wait to read what people said!! 17 more years...

Anyway, I thought his party turned out awesome and I seriously had SO much fun planning it and making his quilt, I loved it. I wish I had more time to do things like that, maybe soon, when I graduate. :) Bridger has been loving his new toys, and I think he loves to be one, he acts like it. Jeremy and I love him more than anything and are so grateful to have blessed with this handsome, sweet little man. :)

Pictures. :)

This post is dedicated to pictures that should have been put up awhile ago...ha ha. These first few are some more from the cruise we went on for our anniversary back in September (when my baby was only 8 months old!), there are also some from Christmas and a few random ones. I am still waiting for the disc of his birthday pictures, but I will put those up soon too. :) I want to print my blog every couple years which is why I like to put up so many pictures, the finished books will be sort of like family journals, so I hope you enjoy them even though they are late!

I hope this is okay to put up...I just couldn't resist...he loves to be free!

Bridger all dressed up for formal night. :) He is so stinkin handsome.

I have to say that we l.o.v.e. this baby carrier, it's amazing. Look at those cutie butts.

This was the first formal night on the ship. :)

 Bahaha.
I know that I look like a nerd in this picture.

These are Mayan ruins from thousands of years ago, this place was SO beautiful, it's a paradise and right on the beach, it's amazing.

This is the entrance to the Mayan ruins we had to go through...

My boys during a hike to the ruins.

My sexy, funny, amazing, wonderful, hott man.

 My lil' lovebug.

This is us on the beach in Grand Cayman, getting sunburnt. :) ha ha.

I just thought this was really sweet...

He loves to cuddle his grandpa and watch TV, it's so cute. :)

This is from today, he absolutely LOVES to play with blocks, and he LOVES to make a mess!
He. is. so. fun. :)

ha ha funny face, he's so cute.

Bridger helpin his daddy put the dishwasher in. :) He was handing daddy ALL of his tools, he's such a good helper.

This is his favorite cupboard, he pulls all of the pans and plastic bowls out and slides them around the kitchen, silly goose. :)

And here are a few of the Brown's Christmas!!...

Everyone's first presents of the morning! :)

Bridger's first present!! I was happy that he was actually ripping the paper! He would only rip it enough until he could see what was inside, then he would reach his little hand in and start playing with it, so we had to help him get them open, but it was a blast! :)

He has been lovin' his new toys!

This is our Christmas with the Jarvis side. :) I don't know when we will all be together again so it was nice to see everyone!

Bridger's birthday pictures ARE coming. I promise. There is no way I would miss such a big event! :) ha ha. I went crazy with decorations...

Overload.

It seems like everything happened all at once! It's only been a month and I have missed Christmas, New Years, Bridgers birthday, and one of my best friends being endowed along with a ton of other things. I guess I will start with Christmas...our little family traveled down to Hurricane (where else??) for Christmas, we stayed for ten days straight and it was sooo nice. I was so excited for Bridger to open his presents and have lots of new toys! I was also excited to see the look on Jeremy's face when he opened his xbox 360-let me just say, it was priceless. :) Bridger didn't really think the idea of tearing colored paper off stuff was that great until toward the end of his presents, most of the time he would tear off just enough to see what it was, then he would stick his little hand inside and start playing with it, it was cute ha ha. We played tons of games and watched movies and I also had to get ready for Bridger's party. New Year's was fun, we played games and had some d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. food, then at 12 we set off some fire works and then went straight to bed...we are a bunch of old farts these days. seriously. And just to add this in, I don't have any New Years resolutions, ha ha, I figure, if I don't have any then I won't end up at the end of the year with a list of things I didn't do...I decided that I would rather do the things I want or need to do and at the end of the year I will look back and list all of the things I did do, so I can start the new year feeling better about myself. :)

Anyway, I debated telling this story but figured that I just as well so that we know why in twenty years our son is terrified of cake. Let me begin...Wednesday January 4th was Bridger's real birthday, we didn't do anything crazy because honestly, I don't think he really cared that he was turning one, but that night I wanted to experiment with making a smaller cake in a ball shape so I threw a "practice" cake together and frosted it with chocolate frosting. After dinner I got the camera and Jeremy lit the little candle and I started recording...we started singing happy birthday and Bridger was just staring at the candle, I told Jeremy, "make sure he doesn't touch the candle..." and right as he set the cake down on his high chair tray guess where the first place his hand went to was. Yes. The candle. It was so fast. And he burnt his little fingers a little. We felt like the worst parents ever, really ha ha. He was screaming and wouldn't touch the cake at all. Even after I was holding him and he had calmed down, and even after I showed him that it was okay ate some so he could see, he wanted nothing to do with it and pushed it away; he freaked out if any got on him, or his hands. At that point I was like, "OH NOOO!!" That wasn't even his real party! His real party was still in two days and he was afraid of cake! I finished up the details of his party over the next two days, including his QUILT! Yes, I put together my very own, very first, pieced quilt!! It turned out adorable, I just have to finish the binding and tying. I made it using the same fabric that was in his 1-12 month pictures as a keepsake of his first year, it's twin size and it's a baseball quilt so he can use it when he sleeps in a bigger bed and has a big boy room. I hope he loves it. :) I made almost all of the party decorations out of scrapbook paper and a lot of sewing, it was fun, I also made his his own little birthday outfit, with red, white and gray argyle leg warmers and a onesie with a baseball tie that I had sewn on to it (so. adorable.). We had a great turnout at his party and he got so. many. presents, it was awesome. We made him his own miniature cake that was in the shape of a ball, Jeremy designed it to look like a baseball, but guess what, we sang happy birthday and we set the cake down (without a flame on the candle) and...he started crying. :( My baby wouldn't touch his birthday cake. Even when I held him ha ha. I was a little sad, but it's not a big deal, as long as my baby is happy. Overall, I was very happy with how his party turned out and I had so much fun planning it! I loved it.

One last thing, I got to go to one of my very best friends endowments yesterday and I absolutely loved it. Jeremy and I used to go to the temple once a week before Bridger was born, after he was born, we could never go anymore (I am too paranoid of a mom to leave him with anyone besides my parents...I blame this on my study of psychology. :p). I am hoping to find a couple that we are really good friends with who would be willing to watch Bridger for us once a week so we can go, then we can watch their kid/s once a week so they can go so we don't have to worry about finding a babysitter and all that fun stuff. The temple is so vital, and I have missed it. Emily (my friend) also had a bachelorette party last night that was a blast, I met a lot of cool girls there and it was nice to have some girl time...it was a little weird though, because I was the only one with a baby (who was at home asleep of course)...anyway, I am one of her bridesmaids so I will be coming down again next weekend for her wedding! I'm so happy for her, her and Ben are such a funny/cute couple (I actually set them up...ha ha). Fun stuff. I love those two. :)

p.s.-Jeremy got accepted to USU and was able to register for a full schedule like three days after school started. Thank you USU, for being awesome. :) We were so happy!

p.s.s.-One thing that I forgot to plan on for his party was a charged camera battery!! (I am still kicking myself...) So, I need to get all of the pictures from my sister, then I will post them. :)
