We did a two year picture session for Ander, and I'm so glad we did! This boy is so stinking handsome, he is a busy, smart, independent sweetie-pie and we love him so much. He's been quite the champ this last year, having a new baby sister when he was basically still a baby (she was born when he was just 17 months old). He honestly has done better than I ever would have thought and I am so proud of him. I've always felt that he has such a wise soul, like he's more mature than his age sometimes, it's hard to explain. He has the most amazing hazel eyes, just like his Daddy's, and he does the cutest one-sided eyebrow raise. He also still does the same one-sided smirk he has done from the time he was born!
He loves, loves, LOVES: Playing outside. Playing in the dirt. Playing in the sink. Playing with any sprinkler/hose/spray bottle he can get his hands on. Playing with switches, Snap Circuits, any button he can push (fridge, computer, phone, remote, echo, etc.).
- He called 911 on Grandma and Grandpa's home phone. That was super fantastic and quite the humiliating experience.
- He constantly tries to get into the water outside! He will turn the spigot on and play with whatever is attached, if anything, but usually a sprinkler or hose.
- He can already CRUISE on a balance bike...at 2.5 years old!! Like, he is amazing at it.
- He LOVES raw veggies. I'll be making dinner and he will come in the kitchen and wait at the counter for me to give him some of what I'm prepping for dinner, usually carrots, peppers, celery, or butternut squash, and he will come back for more! He even ate a piece of raw onion once and liked it. He also loves avocado and nuts of all kinds.
- He is very quiet and more on the mellow side, but he is super busy and curious. We have to watch him so close! He has escaped outside without us knowing several times and it always stresses me out. And if he isn't escaping outside, he is in the bathroom plugging the sink with someone's shirt so he can play in the water. He also takes Grandma's spray bottles and squirts them all over the house, and we had to lock down the bathroom because he kept finding my hairspray and spraying it everywhere (this still happens when I forget to put it away). If I forget to put the saline spray away he also sprays all of that out.
- He talks to his Echo and turns on all kinds of music, they always have a good beat, LOL. We had to get him a kids version so that no bad songs would come on.
- He still takes a nap at 12:30-3 PM everyday, and goes to bed at 7 PM and sleeps until around 7 AM.
- He loves to cuddle before he takes a nap and before he goes to sleep at night, when he's done he says "goo-night" and that means he's ready for Jeremy or I to leave.
- He is taking a tumbling class and it's so fun to watch him! He's doing great, it's adorable.
- We started potty training a couple weeks ago, he caught on to peeing on the potty pretty quick, within about five days he stopped having any accidents. We are still working on the pooping part, lol.
- He figured out how to open the top of his cup to let water out on the table and he loves to splash in it. So...we bought him a different cup with a soft straw, and guess what? He figured that one out too and does the same thing!
- He weighs about 30 pounds and wears 3T clothes, he is so tall!!
- He sits so good for his haircuts already.
- He loves to run errands with Jeremy or I, and he behaves so good, so we always love to take him with us.
- He loves his binky! He has like four, and he will carry all of them around, switching them out from time to time, lol. He only gets them during naps and at bedtime now. He also loves the blanket Grandma Brown made for him as a baby, he sleeps with it everyday and night.
- When I carry him up to nap or bed he rubs my back and pats it, it's so sweet.
The two pictures above show his sweet little one-sided tilt to his adorable lips that he's always done.
Here's one from his newborn session. Oh my goodness. I love him so much.
