Roz's Dance Recital, Chapel Retreat, Mother's Day, & Father's Day!! :)

We switched Roslyn from Miss Linda's to Faith in Motion dance studio in February this year and it was the BEST decision. Miss Linda's was a fun preschool dance class for the last year, but they weren't teaching ANY technique, and I started to feel like we needed someone different to teach Roz. Well, a fellow chaplain spouse, Katie Pitts, told me they'd switched to Faith in Motion and so we did a class there and I immediately knew it was right. Miss Kayla has been teaching Roz, and now Roz has a private class with her every other week. Miss Kayla actually cares about Roz's future as a dancer and takes the time, even though Roz is only 4 (now 5) to gently correct her form and teach her how to truly be a ballerina. Miss Kayla is a strong Christian and LOVES the dancers so much while also teaching them proper form and technique and helping her competition girls place at competitions, she's amazing and has been a huge blessing and is now an amazing friend that I will miss so much when we move. They had their first recital this last May and it was ADORABLE. Roslyn did AMAZING. When the three little girls ran onto the stage the other two got down on the floor in their positions and Roz did a couple jumping jacks in her tutu before joining them and the whole crowd laughed, it was adorable.

We were able to attend the Malmstrom AFB chapel retreat at Fairmont Hot Springs this spring! We took our entire family for two nights, we had a few classes together, but the kids and I hung out while Jeremy was also in classes. There was a fun little toy room, which was fun, and we packed all our meals, so I get creative with our Instant Pot to warm up our meals, haha. The second evening we were able to swim in the hot springs and it was AMAZING. It was a brisk 50 degrees outside, but the water was PERFECT. There was a slide too, so Jeremy took turns taking the little ones and the older boys went several times on their own. It was a blast!
