Anderson was blessed on April 1, 2018. :)
We usually wait to bless our babies until they are about 3 months old, but because we have been in the middle of moving, and everyone was in town for Easter and General Conference, we decided last minute to do his blessing in Hurricane. We had a small gathering of our closest friends and family between sessions of General Conference on Sunday, and I LOVED it. It was much more relaxed and intimate than Sacrament meeting.
Jeremy gave him the blessing and Grandpa Brown, Uncle Jarom, Uncle Cade, Grandpa Jarvis, Bishop Beatty, and Ben Scow were in the circle.
Grandma Brown sewed his blessing outfit in TWO DAYS, she is amazing. Great-Grandma Janet made his beautiful blessing blanket!
His blessing said:
"We take this infant in our arms to give him a name and a blessing...his name shall be Anderson Lamont Jarvis. With this name we bless you, Anderson, that you may live a life filled with faith, that you can be an example to your brothers, of light in a world of darkness and give them strength as you go toward your righteous goals in this life. We bless you with good health, that you can live with vigor and energy, that you can serve a mission and spread the Gospel throughout the world throughout your life. We bless you with the gift of being able to follow the Spirit and listen to its voice so you may be led in the important decisions in your life. We bless you that you can have courage that you may be able to make hard decisions as you follow the Spirit and be an example to those around you throughout your life. These blessings and any other blessings the Lord wishes to bless you with we leave upon you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
He did so good, and didn't fuss at all! After, we served chocolate chip cookies and ice cream while we took turns holding this cutie pie.
