We shipped everything for Christmas to my parent's house, and they were kind enough to wrap it all for us before we got there! That meant that on Christmas Eve we got to play games instead of wrap all night, lol. It was fun. There has been a very full house this year, too! My parents, younger sister, my brother's family of four, us, and my aunt Kathie were there the entire time. There were definitely some very crazy, chaotic, hectic moments, but it was so good to see everyone and be able to spend time together.
Christmas Eve we did our traditional Jingo, put new Christmas pjs on the boys and read a Christmas story before they went to bed. We finished getting everything ready for the next morning and then the adults got to play some games before bed. The next morning, Beckham was up around 6 AM, he just came and sat in front of the presents all by himself and stared at them, lol, he's so good! Bridger and Benson woke up around 7 AM, so we got them all some quick breakfast while we waited for everyone to get ready (cause my kids do better with food in their bellies). We finally got to start opening, Bridger was very mellow, Beckham was SO HAPPY about every single thing. I loved it. Benson opened like two of his presents and then he was done, lol. We spent some time with the Jarvis family as well, having lunch and opening presents together, our boys had a blast playing with their cousins over there!
I had kind of a hard time getting in the Christmas spirit this year, it is hard for me to want to decorate when I know Christmas Eve and Christmas morning we will be away from home, but Jeremy was all over it this year!! He got everything out and let the boys help him put up lights and decorate the tree, it was adorable and I am very grateful for him.
Getting ready for JINGO!
A Christmas story from Grandma Brown before bed. She chose the right book because Benson actually sat down to listen...it's because it had "choo-choo's." Lol.
Ready for Christmas morning. :)
Waiting to open presents!!
Saying "CHEESE" which sounds like "Sheesh!" Lol.
The boys all got the things they asked for, so they were quite happy. We had a few rough spots Christmas morning, it was quite chaotic with so many people/families opening gifts together and so many little ones, but we got past those rough moments and made the day better. :) Jeremy got me the same dishes I have, but more (which I asked for), and new silverware! I got him a tie, new socks, and this specific air filter he's been wanting for his car, lol. I realized just now, though, that Jeremy and I didn't get any pictures together on Christmas, and I'm not in any of them. LOL. Next year I'll have to do better about remembering. :)
Anyway, New Year's Eve was pretty chill, everyone but Benson and I went to Jen and Cade's for games until about 10 PM. I put Benson to bed since he had missed his nap during church that day. When everyone got back we played some games, counted down to midnight, Jeremy and I kissed and hugged, then went straight to bed because we left for home early the next morning, lol. I have to say that it was very nice to be home after ten busy days with family, I love every single one of them but it was CRAZY! LOL. I almost didn't know what to do with myself being home.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! :)
And some random pictures from the last couple months. :)
Beckham came downstairs and said, "now I can be Batman for Halloween!"
Me: Why?
Beckham: Cause this mask is better. I can scratch my nose *scratch scratch* and I can scratch my hair! *scratch scratch* LOLOL.
