If I could choose one work to describe this boy it would be tasty. He is tasty in every way, his rolls, his eyes, his eyelashes, his blonde hair and his cute little teeth, his chubby fingers and dimples everywhere...and especially his personality, he is so happy, silly, funny, curious and sweet. I am so grateful for this tasty boy of mine. :)
At 12 months:
- Beckham nursed 2-3 times a day, and still woke up anywhere from 2-3 times a night to nurse depending on if he was teething or not.
- He was taking two naps a day, usually the first one would be around 10 AM and the second one around 3 PM, for about an hour and a half each.
- Bedtime is 7-7:30 and he wakes up around 7 every morning...he is literally my alarm clock.
- He loves to eat big boy food, but especially loves fruit. His favorite foods are watermelons and grapes. He usually eats really well.
- He had 4 teeth.
- He loves to push Bridger's red "Lightning McQueen" car around the house.
- Loves his baby swing on the swing set in our backyard.
- Loves to flip the pages of books, he doesn't really care about reading them yet, but he will sit and look at the pictures and flip the pages (especially in church) for like 10 minutes...which is a lot of time for a 1 year old!
- LOVES to splash HUGE in the bath. Huge. He can make such a mess in there, and whenever he hears the bath or shower going, he comes running into the bathroom, he loves his baths.
- He copies Bridger, with pretty much everything. Bridger throws a toy out of the tub, Beckham throws a toy out of the tub (you get the picture, right?).
- Likes to eat like a big boy, and won't eat anymore baby food, he doesn't like it anymore, at all.
- Loves to give big baby kisses still.
- Has the yummiest cheeks to kiss, and a cute little mullet that has these small loose curls...it's just making it harder for me to cut it...
- He still loves to get Bridger up in the morning, he pushes his door opens and toddles into his bedroom in the morning and pushes the mattress because he is so happy to see his brother. Bridger always says "Good morning, Beckham," in his cute sleepy voice. It's one of my favorite things. :)
ooohhhh, those thighs...
- When he wakes up from his naps, he doesn't like to be picked right up, he likes me to come in and rub his back and his legs while he rolls around in there and wakes up, then, when he's ready, he stands up at the edge and I know he wants out. I love it. :)
- When he gets tired, he loves to lay his head on pillows, the floor, your shoulder, anything that's comfy, but especially his blanket. Oh my, his blanket. This child LOVES his blanket. He won't sleep without it, and the second I give it to him, he gets sleepy and cuddly, it's so cute.
- He walks really, really well, like a pro.
- He loves to dance! I could watch him dance all day, he moves his little body whenever he hears a tune, even his little hips and he does different movements. He's really good!
- He can say bye-bye (sounds like buh-buh), uh-oh, mama, dada, ball, all done, thank you, Jesus, more, and I think there are a few more, but I don't remember.
